well I am not exactly off to a flying start
I haven't managed any NSD so far and don't envisage tomorrow either:(
was hoping for my first one today but had to purchase a bus ticket as the trains up north were all cancelled
I am more optimistic for the weekend as I am working night shifts and rarely venture out
and am still confident I should reach my target by the end of the month...she says
well done folks that are stashing em up

Not one here today, bought some thermal gloves for boot camp (proper running ones which I figure will be more effective than the woolie ones I currently wear). Store only had one pair of thermals, which were in the size i wanted, so took it as a sign.
also picked up some coffee that I was after from S*arbucks for a hamper I was putting together. £5 for 12 little individual sachets but it was exactly what I wanted (a Christmas blend) and I've heard their Via instant is actually quite good, its for an elderly lady so didn't want her to have to faff with ground coffee as she's quite immobile.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I'm pleased to report
NSD # 2
Hoping for one tomorrow too. Thursdays and Fridays are my working days. It's a very busy office and I only have half an hour lunch, so generally I don't get time to even think about spending money. But it's very useful for this challengeEarly retired - 18th December 2014

Today makes 2!
I should have got one yesterday. I had a hospital appointment in the afternoon, and paid for parking (but I don't count hospital parking as a spend, as it's pretty much unavoidable), but then I went into the shop and spent £1 on chocolate, for absolutely no reason!
As soon as I walked out, I was like "why did I do that?!" Never mind. At least doing the NSD challenge makes me more aware of my episodes of pointless spending!
Found out today that I'm supposed to go and do a stint at the school Christmas fair on Saturday afternoon. I do get annoyed when it's just assumed teachers will give up a weekend day for something at school. We give enough hours to the job in our own time as it is. It's only for an hour, but what with pack up time at the end, and commuting, it's the better part of 2 hours, slap bang in the middle of my Saturday. Sucks!Because it's fun to have money!
