Someone else on LegalBeagles suggested i send a CCA. I realised another thing last night. When i sent the cpr letter, i did not state for them to provide statement of accounts....will this make a difference? should i send another cpr with the statement of accounts included or it doesn't matter? What is a CCA and whom do i send it to?0

I've now posted a CCA Request to Bryan and Lowell. Now, i'm just waiting for a response to my cpr and prove it letter0

I was looking at my credit file again and i noticed something, the shop direct account number on my file is different to the one on the county court form. I cannot see any account information past the default date that Lowell put on my file and i cannot find anything else that indicates that shop direct was in charge of this file before they supposedly bought it.
I was thinking maybe shop direct might have answer but from something i read in another post, after debt has been sold on, the original creditor do not keep information about the debtor any longer. Is this true?0

Not always true. Plenty of cases here and on other consumer forums where if a debt is queried or credit agreement requested on a sold debt, the debt collector has had to go back to the original creditor to get the info. I'm sure I've seen this with shop direct debts.Still rolling rolling rolling...... < <

Ok, thanks. Think i might send a SAR to shop direct then. The £10, should be included as cash?0

Received a reply from BC - seems like his standard response but puzzled by a line in the letter. It states
"In any event the Notices of Default and Assignment left the control of the Claimant when they were despatched to you"
No idea what that means. He has stated that he will be requesting the documents and this will not be within 7 days, he hasn't requested for more time. Oh and he has generously recommended i seek independent legal advice, how generous of him.0

I just wanted to confirm something
I received the court papers on nov 30th, i acknowledged it online on dec 2nd....the last day to enter a defense is dec 28th. Is this correct? Just want to make sure i don't make a mistake on the dates for my defense and receive a default judgement.0

If the Issue date on the form was Nov 30 and this is Northampton Court then it is deemed to be served 5 days later i.e. Dec 5
28 days after this would be Jan 2.
The figures work from the issue date stated on the claim form but it may be best not to take it to the wire.0
