I hope that all you lovely people are having a good Christmas, I feel so sorry for everyone suffering from flooding and power losses. I seem to have gained two lovely things for my bath & shower products drawer, will add then in later.

OH and I are having a lovely chilled time, have been two walks in the sunshine with Miss MM and cooking our main meal later. It is so different from the hellish time we had last year (family illness) when kind and supportive people here really helped me through it, so we are quietly giving thanks that matters resolved happily and sending loving thoughts to those that are going through their own difficulties at present.
The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)

    Merry Christmas everyone!

Hope everyone's having a good day?

I will have some INs to declare soon, from various sources :D Also I've decided to give up the challenge until 6th January, so I can partake in all the sales, then I'll start in earnest again and promise to buy nothing until my birthday in May xxx

Rosemary - sorry about your son's friend, I had a catch up call at the weekend with a friend several counties away, she too was distraught as a young extended family member aged 22 had also taken his own life, and as so often is the case, no-one had any inkling that he had been struggling.

That's so sad, it's awful that people still don't feel able to say they're having trouble, I know there's still such a stigma to mental illness, perceived or real, it doesn't matter, no-one should feel they have no option but to do that, it's awful :(:(:(

  • I can't bear to throw things out that are unfinished so there is a decades worth of half used cosmetics lurking in my huge stash. I just can't bring myself to bin these, even though there are probably all sorts of bacteria hanging about those little pots.

Is there a name for this inability to discard half used cosmetics?

Thanks all for the warm welcome. Looking forward to getting started! A merry Christmas to you all

Yes I have this problem too :rotfl:
    I think it's called compulsive hoarding :D
I find freecycle helps ease my conscious as I give away half used things on there and people are happy to take them :)

Babafette I love Buffy. We're not allowed to call it that anymore cuz I think lush were at risk of being sued. A bit like the Alan sugar fiasco :D
Just use it up and enjoy, it's such a nice scrub and is probably still fine. You will most likely use it up in about 4/5 showers. Go for it :D
    Don't turn a slip up into a give up:D
