  • Hi!

    I hope you are all well and all set for the next few days! Merry Christmas if I'm not back before!

    Just one more UU to report, Katie Perry perfume Sample from a magazine. WNB - the fragrance was ok, but if I'm going to spend money on a perfume, it probably wouldn't be a celebrity one :)

    Hope everyone is staying safe in this awful weather! Just about made it home from work; they terminated my train at my station!

    Have another UU to report:

    Sure Maximum Protection Deo - WBA, and have one in the stash. It's my HG deo for the moment. Just wish it wasn't so expensive!
    Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £
    LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000
    Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 2017
  • Argh, just lost a post because I was messing about with the christmas smilies, that will teach me! :rotfl:

    Some UU to report

    Avon 60's Mod body spray - WNBA, smelled like aftershave!

    Benefit eye brightening cream (can't remember the proper name!) - WNBA, this was a small size with a wand so it was really hard to get any out. It didn't seem to do anything anyway.

    Liz Earle moisturiser pot - probably WBA, don't think it is amazing but didn't do anything bad to my skin and is bunny friendly. I will probably buy the skincare set when I need more C&P so will get more then.

    Have a good Christmas everyone, I hope Santa brings everyone something nice (and if he doesn't then make sure you get it for yourself in the sale! :rotfl:)

    Evening everyone.

    Another UU to report!

    Kempinski Snow Gardenia Shower Gel 40ml I loved this smell and this shower gel was snaffled from our holiday in October. Needless to say, there are a couple of others in my stash.

    Not sure which shower gel to use next. I have a Molton Brown one, which I love or do I go for travel sized ones? Decisions, decisions...

  • I definitely need to join this challenge. I've finally started to sort through bags of cosmetics and toiletries that moved house with us (a year ago) and I've found around 3 carrier bags full of products, samples and whatnot that must have been hanging about for years! Lots of clinique freebies (I've beaten my clinique bonus time addiction but still have all the bonus items!).

    What's the best way to get going? Make a list of everything I have? Gather everything into one place and just start to work through them? I have so much stuff that I literally don't know where to start!

    Welcome to the thread cakeadoodle! I found the best thing for me was to gather everything up and lay it all out on my bed, photograph it and make a list, with different categories. Then I picked something from each category to work on, put it in the bathroom/place it needed to be, and put everything else in the big drawer of my wardrobe, so I wasn't tempted to swap around! I found that the visual reminder of the photos and the logical categorical list really helped me focus to begin with! :) I'm always checking my list and updating it!
    It may seem daunting, but it'll help to get you dealing with the reality. Also, try to use up some one-time things like sachets or bathbombs to get the ball rolling :)

  • Ooh, and, forgot to report a UU, straight out from my Christmas Lush box -

    24. Luxury Lush Pud bath bomb - WMBA, wasn't expecting to like this, as not a fan of lavender, but it was a really pleasant scent, and turned the bath a gorgeous deep purple without any cleanup!

    I only buy the red tiger balm and the cheapest place for me is ebay. I do pick it up in sainsburys but it is about £4.50 there.

    I have just discovered a thread on Local Money Saving: England and find that we are in the same county!

    2 unravelling bath lilies - replaced with new.

    Radox refresh shower gel - WBA DH HG

    Glamglow mask - WNBA this was OK but the design of the pot means it dries out - given the price I think you could be able to use every last drop without fuss.
