{hugs} for Asset xx
Just one UU for me.
Boots No 7 P & P intense Night Cream 50ml - WNBA - this is another from my step-mums stash, still have one jar left...
I'm happy that I am down to single figures on my moisturisers now.
My UUs may slow down for a bit as I've had to stop using body lotion at the moment as my eczema has flared up.Ageing is a privilege not everyone gets.

Just caught up on the thread as have had a very busy week or so.
Was very excited to come home to the delivery of Naked 3 palette yesterday! Yet to try it out but it looks lovely.
I hope everyone is doing ok, I am not feeling very festive yet either. Might wrap up some presents earlier and see if that does it!
I'm really miffed with Gumtree - was meant to have 3 people come today to buy things and none of them have turned up!!! It's so annoying. I can't believe how rude people are. I know they don't owe me anything but they could at least let me know they aren't interested anymore.
Does anyone know whether you get a No 7 voucher when you buy something at Boots at the moment? There are a few things I would like to buy but only with a voucher really.0 -
Some UU:
10g l'occitane shea hand cream - WBA this is one of the very few handcreams that I do not hate.
No7 under eye concealer - WMBA it was OK but havent been really wowed with any of these products.
50ml Elemis apricot toner - doesnt seem to do much but on the positive side it doesnt irritate either.
Lush space girl - WBA DD likes this.
Miller & Harris citron citron perfume sample - on PP list - WNBA smells OK but fragrance does not last on me.
Bourjois magic nails pot - WMBA it works OK for plain polish but is rubbish for glitters.
Clarins lotus oil - WMBA this lasted ages - I used it instead of night cream but will attempt to use up some of my stash before considering repurchase.
Some uglies arrived:
Molton Brown order - collection containing 12 mini bottles (purchased using Christmas gift money), pink pepper body lotion (to match the shower gel that I received from birchbox) free ylang shower gel and mini free eucalyptus shower gel. (15)
Honey gift set (3)
Elemis shave gel for DH - came with 3 mini trienzyme products.(4)
Glossybox
Birchbox

Thank you to everyone who responded to my make up brush problem!!
I decided to get a Real techniques stippling brush as that seems by far the highest recommended, and the rest from TBS sale as with the 14 odd per cent cashback from TCB made it daft not to make up the kit with them. I'm also going to go out on a limb and not declare them as INs because I fully expect them to last an age, and I've needed some half decent ones for a while!! I may have a problem with body puffs, brushes however, nope :P
And onto topic
I have the following 4 UUs to declare
Aquafresh mouthwash 500ml - WIBA possibly, not really attached to any mouthwash, it was fine and did the job. Currently using a Corsodyl Daily one
Armani Code Perfume sample - WIB? I'd love to, but I have perfumes to get through and I'm really bad at using them. And I find perfumes really expensive. This would make a lovely gift though!
Dove Pure deodorant 250ml WIBA? No, I wouldn't. I have quite sensitive skin so I'm careful about what I use. this went too far the other way though and the "fragrance free" nature of it just made it smell a bit odd IYSWIM? The Nivea range appear to be my HG, which is funny as I didn't think I had one!!
Clinique High Impact Mascara 3.5ml GWP WIB? Probably not, I was really disappointed with this as I love Clinique. The brush was really thick and clumpy. I wound up using another wand I had with it.
And a couple of INs
Nivea Pearl and Beauty 150 ml HG as above, nuff said! £1.00
Vaseline Aloe Sensitive compressed deodorant £1.00 - this is for my gym bag/handbag. I like having these smaller ones that aren't 35ml bottles which cost a pound each when I can get the full size versions for that price! Admittedly I get them on offer (or in Bodycare) but still!
Precious Woman EDT 10ml from Superdrug for the reduced price of £1.50!! This is small enough to keep in my handbag, which will probably make me more likely to use perfume. And it solved the new perfume craving (see above) without buying the Hugo Boss Orange offer in boots0 -
hi everyone, sorry it's a quick stop, drop and roll from me
and then I'll catch up with the rest of the thread.
I have 12 UUs so far this month and (whisper it close) no Ins yet. UUs are:
L'occitane verbena shower gel 75ml
Molton Brown bushukan citrus bodywash mini 30ml
Garnier Moisture Match dull skin sachet 1.5ml
Garnier Moisture Match normal to dry skin sachet 1.5ml
Elemis pro radiance illuminating flash balm 30ml
L'Occitane divine cream 1ml
L'occitane repairing conditioner 35ml
L'occitane repairing shampoo 35ml
Sanctuary sleep 4 in 1 elixir 15ml
Liz Earle energizing body scrub 50ml
L'occitane angelica hydration cream 1ml
L'occitane fabulous serum 1ml0 -
15. Disney shower gel 37ml - would nick again, lovely!
16. Lush Rockstar soap 22g - WMBA, nice but not my favourite. No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries in January!UU: 5, IN: 2Total Stash: 99 - ultimate target 33 (year start 99)0 -

Hello ruby_eskimo!
I would say it's perfectly do-able, particularly if you already have most of the cosmetics you are likely to need. I've probably spent around that on myself this year, and could easily have spent less.
I may join you in this one for 2014.
I've probably spent a fair bit, c. £20 on foot creams, but have now settled on Nivea - £2.99 for 200ml in Savers with a 50g tin free if you spot the right pack. Applied daily.
Shower gels - often get OSource in Wilkos or £land for, er, £1. Used 4 times a week,
Anti-perspirant . Use the Mitchum 48 hour one often £1 for 50ml in Savers or Wilkos.
Shampoos/conditioners. Avon Moroccan Oil, £1.40 each when on offer, Gliss £1 each Poundland. Want to try Aldi Carino after rave reports.
Hair dye. I split a pack as I have such short fine hair. Aldi Carino £2.79 2 applications. 3 packs per year.
Body oils/lotions/butters.
Whatever Avon has on offer but love the Rich Family Cream. Got it for as little as £1 for 400ml this year. HB often has quality stuff for around a quid, ditto £land, Savers.
Facial creams/moisturisers.
Lacura 50ml serum £3.49, eye cream 15 ml £3.49, creams with SPF, SPF 30 £3.49, SPF 15 £1.49 for 75ml.
Perfume- easily sorted, will ask nicely for gifts of this if stash gets used. I have a light powered hair removal kit and electric shavers so no need for razors or shaving gel.
Hmmm.....Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Hiiiiii I'm still here just lurking via email at the moment.
I have lots of exciting UU/GA to declare which I shall do tomorrow.
Yay! See you thenDon't turn a slip up into a give up

Hello again ruby_eskimo!
I have been doing something similar this year, I decided I was only allowed to spend £10 a month on toiletries and make up, so £120 in total. I've done really well, I have £4 left to spend for the year :rotfl:
I don't think I would manage on that budget again though as several areas of the stash are getting low and I actually need to buy things instead of shopping from the stash!
Good luck with your challengeNo more buying unnecessary toiletries 2018
35 UU / 13 unnecessary ins0 -
Have a uu
Sanctuary Spa Hot Cloth Cleanser - WBA, this does a good job and doesn't cause any skin problems.
I forgot to declare some ins from Friday, my Telegraph Winter Beauty Box arrived so have 7 ins, they substituted the OPI plum coloured nail polish with a Nails Inc one, I am fine with that but judging by facebook many are not. Overall I thought it was a nice box for the money.
Someone was asking about No7 vouchers (sorry I forget who) I was in Boots yesterday buying vitamins and they gave me a £5 voucher on selected No7 skincare it was one of the vouchers the till spits out.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
