What is your suggestion for installing Windows Updates? I have always used "Ask me before downloading and installing". I am thinking about changing that to "Download, but ask me before installing".

I don't want it automatically installing things I don't want like the Bing Desktop, etc.

    Indeed... :)

After factory restoring the netbook I have just noticed that both the C and D drives are 116GB each, with the D drive having 110GB free. I didn't notice what it was before the restore, but I haven't done anything with the partitions.

Is it possible to change the size of the partitions without doing another factory restore and if so, could you point me to some easy instructions?

just FYI, but the links to the digital river direct downloads listings contained on the mydigitallife site within your own "howtogeek" link no longer work

The OP doesn't need the the download listing and the 'howtogeek' link has nothing to do with me.

Any comment on my post above about both drives being the same size?
  • I think you gotta show that to an expert.

    Thanks for the instructions.

I have managed to shrink the D drive to 10GB. However I can't see how to add the Unallocated 106GB to the C drive. The Extend option in the instruction sis greyed out.

    Any further instructions?

    Thanks.

I've downloaded EaseUS, but can't see how to move the Unallocated space to the C drive. I tried Merge, but the Unallocated space isn't listed there. I can't extend the C drive as it is already at the far right.

The order they are showing is C drive, D drive then Unallocated. I have looked at the Help instructions, but am none the wiser. Might have to try again when I'm less tired, but any pointers would be appreciated.
