Hi 19lottie82,
I'm sorry to read about your aunty's experience here.
If she still needs help with this could you ask her to email me with her details via the link in our profile here?
All she'll need to do is copy and paste the link into her web browser and it'll take her to the Contact us form on our website. To make sure it reaches me she'll also need to quote the code WRT135 - MSE in the subject line?
Once sent she'll receive an automated reply with a reference number. So I can make sure I've got it could you update the thread with this and I'll get back to her as soon as possible?
Kind regards,
Lee

OK....... So I went the VF shop with her and they told me that it had been blocked by a wrong PIN code repeatedly being entered, and it had to go back for a factory reset, something which they could not do in store.
I am not entirely convinced, but they said it will be back within a week, and there didn't seem much point in arguing without any solid proof (plus my aunt still has her old handset which she can use) so it's been sent back to Vodafone for a Factory Reset.......0 -

Hi Lee - Thanks for this, but we will just hope it's back within a week, as promised, and no other problems arise. If they do, we will be in touch.0 -
Really?
Pretty good idea in my book - especially if it uses the opportunity to log the phone location, trap the number called and report it. Always of course assuming this forms part of hook to get a stolen phone exposed?
You'll be suggesting next the camera won't capture the picture of the unauthorised user!
Not much point in putting a phone lock on then is thereIt's not just about the money0 -

So what you are saying is the phone lock you would use allows the thief to use the phone at will just so you are able to capture him on camera and track him :rotfl:

Still skeptical I see? I had a a PCN phone in the US that did just that, however the unauthorised user could not make a chargeable call and everything they did was logged. This was on Sprint, the right PIN unlocked the phone, a wrong PIN gave you the run-around without explicitly telling you the PIN was incorrect.
Really neat!0 -
