Maybe you could ask e2save what stock they have? Various posts have given positive comments about them i.e., friendly and helpful so it wont cost you anything to ask. At the end of the day you will look long and hard to find as good a deal as this with a high spec phone connected to an excellent network so even if the phone is grey and not black and if at sometime you feel like unlocking it the cost will only be around £15 or less so you are still quid's in. I tried out the video camera on the phone tonight its excellent, far superior to my old NEC 616, lots of GR8 features in this compact little phone and "cheap as chips" on this deal that might well end on Friday. I'm delighted with mine. Thanks again Darren21 for you original post.0

just an invoice
I've just found some info on it on their website after a hunt around.

Choose, I have cash back questions, then how do I claim.
It also seems you have to stay on the chosen plan for the duration of the 12 month contract to qualify for the cash back, which is fair enough.0 -

so with the grey version, there is always a toolbar on the left hand side of the screen?? would it ever disappear?0 -
Also, what's the best way to contact e2save? do they respond to their e-mail??0
-
Its only there when the phone is on standby and reduces the size of the wallpaper, when you start to use the phone and it switches from wallpaper to whatever function you are using the tool bar is gone and you have a full screen.
As for contacting e2save I would phone them rather then e mail as I would imagine that they will be busy processing a large number of orders they have to deal with from people viewing this site and other forums, also weekend will be a change over for deals as Sunday being May 1st will see new offers, this offer might not be valid for much longer, who knows? I'd give them a call if you have any doubts but dont leave it too late, check their website, I think they open for business at 8.30 am.0 -
There Are 2 versions of the d500 as many of you have noticed.
The Black version is Sim Free and sold my all networks apart from orange.
The Grey Version is a specifically designed version for orange. Therefore we should all really be recieving grey ones. BUT e2save and OSPS have excessive stock of balck handsets which will be replaced by the d600 next month so tehy are selling them withthe orange contracts. A bit Nauthy really!!!
Anyways the grey version has some software modifications too and some features are locked out. for example on my blacl 1 I can remove network name from the screen, on the grey one orange have locked out this feature.
Also the grey one has a problem with the mp3 ringing tone. the ringtone starts of very low for the first second or 2 and them gets load. On the black one it starts off load.
To sum up the D500 is a really smart and classy phone. A real bargain at this price.
