PS4 v XBOX 360

what should I go for and what is the difference?
Is there any computer geeks out there that can tell me something? Right, the playstation 4 is more powerful, is faster and has better graphics than the Xbox one, so why is the xbox one about a £100 dearer? Is it cause of that Kinnect thing? Does the Xbox do anything else that the ps4 doesn'y?

Not really into consoles but they are about equal in my view.

only thing i'd really watch out of is the problems each console is currently having both Xbox1 and PS4 are having teething problems due to hardware and software issues (they are minor but very public!)

Looks like xBox One is goin for the home game and media centre integrated market where as the PS4 is sticking to the Games with media features as extras.

Think the xBox One only does 720p before upscaling (slightly lower quality graphics) to 1080p
Where as the PS4 can do 1080p natively. (looks slightly better on a Big screen).

but in the end all people care about is what games are available and how muck they cost! ^_^

The Xbox One is more expensive in part because of the Kinect. That's going to be the biggest different between the PS4 and XBox One. I've read various articles saying that the PS4 is outperforming the Xbox One by a fair margin meaning the Xbox versions of games have had to drop frame-rate and native resolution. The developers say this makes no difference, but then they don't want to put people off buying.

The XBox One is also trying to integrate itself as the 'One' box you need in the living room, so you'll get all your TV through the XBox. As far as I know that is only available in the USA currently though.

I currently have an XBox 360 and was expecting to get an XBox One, but given the huge price difference and reports on performance I am reconsidering.

Ultimately I may be swayed by what my friends get. I spend at least one night a week playing online with my best friend, so it will be no good us getting different systems.

I would let other people test the X-box one first, when the X-box had ring of death syndrome they stuck their head in the sand and kept pumping them out.
