ehhhh? like it or not, being able to store luggage at hotel receptions is a fairly standard service offered by most hotels.

I posted this thread as a warning that Travelodge don't offer this service...... imho expecting guests to check out and then carry their luggage to the nearest rail station and pay £9 an item to leave each item at the left luggage area is fairly p1sh. after all, not all travelodges have a nearby train station with a luggage storage area.

I should imagine most people are aware of this as it clearly states on the website.

And most Travelodges (apart from those in London) are a few miles out of town, often near motorway services etc therefore you'd assume people would have a car with them. One I stayed at frequently whilst in university was quite happy to allow me to leave my car in the car park for several hours before and after checking out, thus using my car to store my luggage.

All the hotels I have stayed in have had a luggage storage room, after all on most days of a trip you'd want to enjoy your last day and collect the luggage later on before travelling home. I too thought this would be standard for a hotel, but obviously not with some budget chains.

I don't think that's true. Pretty much every city I've been in has Travelodges in the city centre.

so because something is on a website it means that every person in the world must know about it?

perhaps you have some evidence that most Travelodges are a "few miles out of town"?

with respect, I don't think making up "facts" is being very helpful.

No, not every person in the world... that's just silly.

But if an individual has booked with Travelodge, then it is probably reasonable to have expected that person to have understood what they have booked.
May even be sensible to make that check before booking.

He probably doesn't, just like you didn't have any evidence that Travelodge would look after your luggage for you.

Maybe read the FAQs next time?
