Do you think Citi would migrate my recently migrated Audi card to Platinum card in to a Shell card?

Has anyone migrated themselves in Citi portfolios or would I have to re apply?
Re applying is not an option as I have just taken out another card!

not only are new applications stopped but as from 1 October the rebate on Shell petrol reduces from 3% to 1%

AND the basic 1% cashback on everything else is down to 0.25%
AND there is now a £120 pa cap on total cashback earnable

bye bye Citi card, I'm off elsewhere

Ah, rubbish. The 3% off was the only reason I used the citi card as the spending limit is siginificantly lower tham my other cards.

I can get around 0.5% using my nectar card anyway so there isn't much incentive for me to keep my Shell card.

It does mean that diesel doesn't just go up by 2p because of the tax but by at least 4p per litre as I'm losing my cashback :(
  • Just got the new Shell card T&Cs to realise the new limitation and cutbacks on the Cash Back!! Boy they must have been making big losses - but it was a good deal (esp when combined with Shell Pluspoints) and I remained loyal to Shell petrol for years for this reason. Need to move on...
Anyone got any similar deals with petrol?
Nectar is an alternate reward option but I don't really have a Sainsbury or BP near me. BP is too pricey anyway and negates any benefit of collecting Nectar points. Tesco are often a treat so I usually fill up there when I come across one. Same as Asda.

Personally with petrol 1% at Shell is probably the best it gets- few credit cards can match it- only Amex beats it.

Clubcard points at Tesco are next best.

As others have said I wouldn't be too quick to drop Citi's card- simply because for fuel it is competitive even if you need a new card for non-fuel purchases.

I'm dumping my Shell Card too. The cut from 3% to 1% is mean spirited and I can get the same rate by filling up at Tescos and using my Clubcard.
