Hi, i think i am in big trouble, so apologies for the length of the post and any advice/information would be MUCH appreciated;

OK, i was looking for a cheap contract iPhone and in mid October purchased the iPhone 4 from Dial-a-Phone. The contract is listed below;

ORDER CONFIRMATION
Item Model Apple iPhone 4 8GB Black Handset Cost FREE Contract length 24 months Tariff 24M £15.50 iPhone 50 - 50 Minutes + 250 Texts + 1GB Network T-Mobile Monthly Cost
(per handset per month) £15.5 Insurance Not included.

Now, forgive me if i'm wrong, but i took that to mean that my monthly internet usage would be 1gb of data?

However, having logged onto my TMobile account , they have my plan listed as being: Monthly cost: £ 12.92 (excluding VAT)for which i am getting '300 minutes' and '500 texts'? Totally different?

The big problem is that for the past month i have been using a lot of internet data.

One of the billing states that i have used 20,481.21 Kb of data and that the 'base cost' is £127.67. Others are also well over £100?! Also, the 'provider' listed on all of the items on the bill for the intertet usage is 'EE/UK'?

Firstly, that would mean i owe them hundreds of pounds, would it not?

Secondly, who do i complain to, Dial-a-Phone or TMobile?

Again apologies for the length of this post, but i am going out of my mind with worry about this, so any advice or information will be greatly received.

Thanks.

    Base cost is what the cost would be before your allowance is taken into account. So what does your account say your data allowance is?

    T-mobile is a part of "EE/UK".

    If the tariff is different from what you were sold you have to complain to d-a-p in the first place.

    It doesn't. There is no mention of any data usage in my plan, just that i have '500 texts' and '300 minutes' - which is totally different to the plan i signed up for from dial-a-phone.

    I'm going to ring dial-a-phone shortly to try and see what on earth has gone on.
  • A little update:

    I've just logged into my T Mobile account to check the bill again and there's another charge off 22p been added for the 29/11/13 (today), despite the fact that my phone hasn't even been turned on this morning, let alone connected to the internet...

    Something is very strange about all this.
  • *UPDATE*

    Just spoken to both Dial-a-phone and T Mobile and apparently this is simply down to Dial-a-Phone not sending the correct tariff to T Mobile.

    The T Mobile assistant i spoke to has processed the correct tariff and told me that i will be on that from 18/12/13.

    In the meantime they (T Mobile) have assured me that they will credit my account and that i will not be charged for the data i have used in the past month.

    So it seems as though the problem has been sorted, and hopefully all will be correct by 18/12/13.

    Thanks to everyone for their advice.
