Ahh ty for the ideas hun, unfortunately DH and I are both disabled and due to my memory and illness im not allowed to drive further than our town centre, plus me and the sun, we are not friends, I find it very hard to function in the heat :(
We did go out to the beefeater and as I had points on my card I printed off a £10 voucher so meal for 3 of us cost £17 :T we then stopped at Mr T and got 3 puddings for £3.75 so not too pricey :j

Unfortunately that does mean no pennies for the pot :(

I was going to suggest cooking together, like a pizza or something from scratch, then having a cosy movie night in :)
Glad you enjoyed the meal, whats the point in all this saving if we can't have something nice once in a while :)

Hey guys, can I pop in? I don't have a sealed pot, but what I do have is an online saver that I'm trying not to touch.
As I don't usually use cash, I don't tend to have lots of change to put in a pot, I used to have a bank account called 'save the change' that rounded up any card purchases to the nearest pound and paid that into a savings account, so I'm planning to do the same thing but manually :)

I have this saving scheme with TSB, save the change, it soon adds up, it goes into a seperate savings account, interest non existant but just my way of putting pennies aside on line x

Course you didn't offend me hun! TBH, we're so used to the situation its just normal to us, we forget other people don't live our way lol :o Its only every so often it kind of hits home that our kids don't really have a 'normal' childhood and they do miss out on things. They are really good about it though bless them, littlest had her sports day on friday and just accepted that mummy would not be there until about halfway through and was not able to walk all the way round the field to find her (they helpfully set it up at the local outdoor centre with different activities all the way round an 800 mtr track ) but had to sit in a chair and wait for her to get to an activity that was closer to the entrance.

Anyway am off out spending again! I think everything in my home has made a pact to need replacing all at the same time, today its new towels, knives, forks and spoons!

Rampant Recycler I've been Money Tipped!
Thanks for the kind words and messages :)

Went back to my out of hours today and they have given me buscopan to ease my pain along with tramadol. So far I am still in big pain with dizziness from the tramadol! My friend was concerned about it being an ectopic pregnancy but took a test today thar was negative. It's not linked to the food I eat either so I'm running out of hope!

Oh well, at least I've potted about £3 this weekend and my OH has been amazing and took me out last night for a relaxing night at bingo and we won £70 :)

A measly miserly 25p in the pot today, didn't manage to get my towels but somehow managed to buy a new lamp, new crockery and a water filter jug  really beginning to wish I didn't need DH to drive me to the shops :rotfl:

glad you've been back to the docs lulu, DH has tramadol so I feel for you, he usually takes his just before bed as they completely knock him out :(
