I managed to get hold of 2 for my kids but I'm having trouble getting the PC to recognize them when I plug them into the USB port.

The MP3 player lights up and starts charging but there is no indication of the player on 'My Computer'.

I am running Windows XP.

Any help appreciated.

XP should recognise them when they get connected to a USB port.
Try connecting when the PC is up and running.
If that fails press the tiny re-set switch on the back of MP3 with a pencil point or cocktail stick.

Thanks... I was using a USB 1.0 port but after resetting the player XP recognised it so I plugged it into a USB 2.0 port.

If you plug it into a usb1 port a bubble should popup saying this device can work faster if you connect it to a usb2 port.

It's a very good deal I think, as it also takes Sd cards to get a bigger memory. Rechargeable battery as well. I've just seen one of them as my colleague got one, and they look fab too! Same size as my Ipod nano.

Hi,
I might buy the 1gb one so i dont need to worry about SD cards, so it kinda makes up for the £22.49 price tag over the £17 and £10 i missed out on.
I got some queestions though:

1. Does the charge actually last 8 hours? Usually its rated by having the player on the lowest volume with the most power saving options on. So when you want to listen to it a bit louder the power only lasts about 5 hours. IS this the case with this one?

2. Does it only have these functions:

Repeat, repeat all, shuffle repeat functions.

3. Does it have an equalizer?
