    Can you press the info button and report what signal the TV is receiving? (will be displayed top left of the screen)

    This sounds like a refresh rate problem. Which could mean you have a duff panel or it could be that somehow the TV isn't displaying the correct refresh rate.

    Another thing to try is turning motion plus onto clear setting. This may help eliminate the issue, though I doubt it.

    When i press info it comes up with 1920 x 1080/50i.

    Well that's fine.
    Have you noticed the same problem on the internal tuner, if you can use it?
    And coming further along on that question, have you tried a different HDMI cable, and a different HDMI port?
    First person to rant that HDMI is digital and either works or doesn't gets a slap...
