confusion re eon meter readings/can't establish usage or get meter reader to turn up

I'd only been on the 'call if there's going to be a problem locally' system, but everything's fixed right now thankfully. He explained about that they call any time they see an estimated bill on the system. I didn't ask about the meter being moved, as I felt much more confident about the meter being read, plus understand the Smart Meters are on their way at some point ... realise that may not be soon, but feel so much better about the meter readings happening. Thanks :-)
