Hugs to NJL, hope your day isn't too stressfull for you.NJL - best wishes for your mum, it's a worry isn't it. The docs have now decided to keep my mum in to do an in depth scan to see if they can pinpoint what's happening. I'm not holding my breath though as they have said several times in the past few months that they are going to do a specific test and then just sent her home because they need the bed.NJL don't forget to look after yourself as well
Thanks all for the well wishes. Day is stressful but I'm coping and have found time for lunch and five minutes here.
SNOOZER: So sorry to hear that your mum's been messed around. I have to confess that they've taken very good care of mine thus far so fingers crossed things improve for yours.
Been to vet: Sam's leg still not healing properly although it's no worse. Vet has decided that since modern medicine hasn't really helped we'll go back to James Herriot style medicine. I've to dab the wound with iodine mixed with surgical spirit three times a day. This is going to be fun - I wonder how much will end up on my clothes and how much on the cat?
An emergency came in while I was paying (nice vet didn't charge consultation fee) so I had to wait while that was dealt with and the owner calmed down so that had me running late. Which is fine 'cause the rabbit and the owner's problems are far worse than mine but which I could do without.
At the Pharmacy there was a long wait too so I got even further behind. However, I got the meds delivered to D and went to Mr S for a top up shop and have come home, got it all put away and eaten lunch. Which wasn't that nice and will be getting cheese put the next time it appears from the freezer. Have resigned myself to not making the risotto I must make today until tonight and to only making one pan with a lot of squash instead of two pans over two days with less squash in each. The squash won't last another day and there won't be time to do both of them tonight (I only have one pan big enough). But hey ho.
Time to catch the cats (out to stretch their legs), dab iodine solution on Sam and get ready for visiting ...Household: Laura + William-cat

Afternoon all,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all who are celebrating :j
Just a small post for now. Just finished work and settling down to a bowl of HM tomato soup, need to warm up before it is back out in the cold for school run.
Have a few household chores to do first: change the dog blankets and wash them,Hoover around-will wash the floors tonight before bed too, need to go throughout my cupboards and see what there is before heading for the Christmas food shop.
Tea tonight will be something quick as DD has swimming after school so sandwiches possibly with some chips.
Will have a little lurk with my cuppa
Hugs xxWorking mummy to a beautiful 7 year old girlie...1 cat and 1 dog. Tired and stressed but still smiling!0 -
I am a very cheery bunny this afternoon as at my weigh-in I have lost 6lbs in three weeks:):):) so well on the way to my goal of a new boob in the spring:):)
Went with DD to look at some cars for her OH as his car is on its last legs and we found one thats fairly low mileage and not too dear so I have bought it for her and she can pay me back as its better than her spending extra on credit and my stash cash isn't earning very much in interest anyway.Son-in-law is very happy and thinks I am a lovely ma-in-law:):) Bless him he is a good lad and worries dreadfully about almost everything .To me I'd rather he was safe on the road than have money in the bank. His old car really was at the end of its useful life and not worth getting MOT'd,and we got £300.00 PX as well which (myself I wouldn't have given thirty bob for
:):)) so come Saturday he will have his low mileage newer car to drive safely in.
Right time to get a move on as I'm off to their house for a late birthday dinner from yesterday as I was out last night.
Dark and misty at the moment here and looking very wintery outside
Cheers chums

I came on to wish Jools and sistercas' daughter a happy birthday - it's my son's birthday as well today - he's 15 and I don't know where the time has gone!
Nice to see someone else delurk, DANGERS. And happy birthday to your son. 15 seems like such a long time ago!
Have been in to see M and she's getting out of hospital tomorrow which is good news. She'll have the Community Physiotherapist coming in to see her and eventually get her out and about.
Dinner is cooking (HM Vegetable Slice, HM Oven Chips and Salad) and the WM is on. I've washing to put away and the dishwasher needs to run and then I need to do that Risotto ... Oh, when will it be bedtime?Household: Laura + William-cat
