Sistercas Happy Birthday to your DD
NJL don't forget to look after yourself as well
Dumpling, good luck with WW, I was hoping I would lose weight. Once I cut out wheat, it's worked a treat for my IBS, weight wise not lost a pound:eek:
RR glad your feeling better
Nmlc glad DH is a bit better
Camelot I'm the same with fat, dh loves it!
TTFTM not long now before you start your new job, (((hugs))))
Up and out early as we dropped DGS and dd at before school club and she catches the train to work from there.
Last nights spicy rice was delish, a nice change. I fried off some onions and garlic with a couple of tspns of curry powder, added the rice and chicken stock (GF) and simmered for around 15 mins, also added a handful of sweet corn and frozen peas, lovely. Had it with tuna steaks and veg.
I'm going to look for a crochet pattern for a little dog jumper, coat this morning. To make as a Christmas gift for MIL dog, I don't like her much but Tara is a cutie:p
I'm on my third day of a low dose of Tegretol for my Trigeminal Neuralgia, they seem to be helping, fingers crossed.

Foggy and drizzly here today. Washing all done, tumbled and put away.
DH's birthday cake is in the oven. I'm just making a marble base sponge and I shall melt some chocolate over it tomorrow, then write his name and age in silver balls! Just hope it works out ok.
Have a good day everyone
Ps: NAR - hope your wife is a little more recovered today0 -

Happy Birthday Jools xxxxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Morning
Quick one from me as my parents are popping down for a visit today. Just don't a quick crisis clean, about to get the vac out shortly (ruddy dog hairs grrrrr). Going out for lunch so totally not MSE or OS but will probably mean no dinner. No cooking for me? Oh what a shame
Not much else to report. NEED to get my finger out re Xmas presents. People are asking what to get the kids and I haven't given them an answer yet.
Sister as happy birthday to your DD xx

All will be well in the end. If it's not well, it's not the end.Be humble for you are made of earth. Be noble for you are made of stars0 -

Nothing planned for today, am having a day of the ladies who lunch on Friday instead.
Gas engineer was here last night, the boiler was making strange noises and not firing up properly, turned out it wasn't the boiler, but the flue was hanging out of the wall, the window cleaner must have hit it with his ladder I think. Thankfully its fixed now, in time for the winter.
Oh well, better tidy up a bit as am sure MIL and mum will appear at some point, need to wake up DS as he's going to the dentist for a check up this morning, much joy.RIP Iain

Hello all,
I read this thread every day but rarely post. I came on to wish Jools and sistercas' daughter a happy birthday - it's my son's birthday as well today - he's 15 and I don't know where the time has gone!
I've been a good mum and banked his birthday money and need to do some tidying before I head off to work.0 -
Happy Birthday Jools Hope you have a peaceful day my dear xx
it's my niece Lorraines birthday today ,she lives in Mexico bless her and has since 1974,I'm hoping she will be home next year for a visit
Good morning to everyone ,we came second at the quiz last night which was great and had a nice chicken and rice supper which was even nicer:)
Eldest DD is at some sort of trade 'do' in Birmingham today connected with school academies and won'tbe home until tomorrow.First time she has visited our '2nd city' and I think she's hoping for a bit of a look around.
Youngest DD has the day off and I shall be popping around to see her after my weigh-in at the clinic.
She is quite cheerful at the moment having won the top negoitiator of the past three months at her firm and has won some more Bluewater vouchers which will come in handy for her Christmas shopping.
She is hoping to get her new car tomorrow if it arrives at the dealers ,but if its still held up they have told her that she can have a courtesy car for a few days .That will ease the pressure of running her here and there a bit:)
Right time to get a move on and find my lighest weighing clothes:)
My brother Davy has just rung and says he is coming over from France for a few days in December so I'm really pleased about that as he's not been over for a couple of years owing to ill health so it looks like he's got the all-clear to fly at last:)
Have a great day whatever you are doing
Cheers chums JackieO xxx0 -
Good morning,
best wishes to all with birthdays especially Jools.
Pedalling steadily along with the marking, under 100 left so the end is in sight, must say I'm fed up with all the mis-readings about the particular animal that features on the paper
As a kind of break I unblocked the leafy drain outside. Does life get any better?
Today I am wearing my thermals - very toasty and MSE :money:I get cold sitting still.
Dinner tonight is in the supermarket, we're shopping later on.
Those really were the highlights of the day - oh, and I'm marking again in January :T... or do I mean ?
