No idea why you want to make a VCD, but as above, you'll have far more universal access to a DVD, try burning that instead.

u'll be better of creating it as a dvd rather than a vcd, all dvd players will support the dvd format (obviously) but not all of them support the VCD.

altho some players might be able to read the VCD disc, the video format they might not be able to decode.

The same thing can happen on the PC, you could play a file that has a container the software recognises (like an AVI) but the video is encoded in a codec thats not recognised, it'll open the file and play it, but u'll get no video

Maybe your DVD player does not support VCDs? It's not very likely as all players I have seen have all been able to run vcds but you never know. Not only that but DVD players sometimes have issues with the brand of DVD being used so try and play the disc on a different dvd player to rule out these possibilities.
