"Help" - email from grandma

Grandma (late 70s) sent an email...
"Help - I'm stuck in my conservatory".
I found it about an hour after she'd sent it and OH has now set off now (it's about 30 miles from here). Still waiting to hear.
She doesn't have a phone in the conservatory and so it was lucky she had an ipad and knows how to send an email.
Just for future reference.... is there a way to contact the emergency services by email?

i don't think so , but you could always get her a cordless phone to put in there for emergencies or have a permanently wired in one put in ,0

Maybe a mobile phone would help?0 -
Meanwhile, congratulations to her for smart use of an ipad! Have you emailed her to let her know the cavalry is coming?
Me, I used to babysit our neighbour's children & so can phone a neighbour to ask if they've seen a parent in the last hour...0 -
There might be an app that she can download - maybe one that can send a message to your phones rather than an email so you get the message quicker? You can't text or email the emergency services as far as I know but someone else could then do it.
You could get her an alert to wear around her neck if that would make you both feel better.£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January0 -
mobile phone would have helped or could she have Skyped someone?0
