Hi I have been reading lots of your threads which are very helpfully but can I just give my problem to confirm we can fight this. My son's car. 14-11-13' retail car park. 7 pm. We checked the sign which said the parking area belongs to a retail park some 2 miles away. No return within 3 hrs. The site is a small stand alone site not connected to any shops by a main road. There is a small retail park with 4 shops on a cross the road to the rear. We left the car there and within 10 mins had a ticket for leaving the site. You have to leave the site unless u sit in your car and you would have to walk 2 miles or 0,2 miles to attended any shops. The shops may have been closed but no restrictions on times or limited use. Except for time is displayed. This is in the UK. Do we have a case to fight them with ?

suggest you name the site owner details, the PPC name and post pictures of any signage for checking
meanwhile, I would suggest you wait for the NTK to arrive
as you havent stated if this is in england and wales or not its impossible to help you (saying the UK is not much help here as laws differ depending on the area)
basically , not enough information for anyone to advise you as yet
sounds as if you were "trespassing" on private land and didnt comply with the signs (if any)
could be some sort of honeypot flytrap designed to entrap the motorist , but cannot advise with no info
the more you tell us (without revealing personal details etc) - the better0 -
We need to know who gave you this ticket, can you supply that info please? Also is your son the registered keeper of the vehicle, or is it leased/hired/company vehicle?
ThanksWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Everyone has a case to win at POPLA as long as this was in England/Wales. We win 100% of POPLA appeals so don't pay this rubbish. Please read the sticky threads:

You need 'newbies...read this now!' and 'successful complaints about PPCs'.
Please also then answer the questions already posed.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
