Whos your cheekiest ever buyer?

So many of them out there....my latest one - a buyer that won an item at end of March...no contact for 3 weeks then received a cheque for £9.98, had no idea what it was for as it was just the cheque, thats it. Searched my records, but because I had archeived the item, couldnt find the buyers details. Finally found the item, reason I couldnt find item was because he hadnt even bothered to add on the cost of postage...took me ages to work out who he was and what I should be sending him!! Postage was only 79p so I let him off....really couldnt be bothered asking for 79p as I wasnt prepared to wait another 3 weeks for it lol:rotfl:
He was a very cheeky buyer!! Who's your cheekiest buyer?

Me too. I say from a distributor like me, would you like a trade / volume purchase price list?0 -

I get that as well and people get cross if you won't tell them where you bought it and for how much.

I did! lol - I claimed back FVF about a week ago and he got a strike lol...but hey I got the cheque so might as well send the product now. Hmm can you even take back a non payer strike? The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing:)0 -
A few :
1) Buyer was very happy with his item but posted a negative (my only one in 500+ transactions) because the postage was 25p too much and as a postie he knew I was ripping him off.
2) Buyer bought keyboard - posted to Oz - she posted +ve feedback and emailed to say working fine - so I did likewise - got a paypal chargeback 30 minutes later - no more email contact - grrrrr - noticed in a couple of days that she had a couple of negs from people for claiming non-receipt after emailing "OK - will leave +ve feedback"
3) Buyer bought 3 x old laptops for £25 - didn't want to pay shipping so would collect when he was up near me with relatives for a week - fine but he turned up on spec several times in the day or when I was away - never agreed mutually convenient times or responded to calls - eventually left note saying he had spoken to neighbours and police to track me and was going back home so don't bother with sale. Contacted him via email - he was ill - how could I do this - whine whine whine. Of course I had to write off my listing costs although a NPB sorted out the other fees.
4) Buyer for a £50 item via BIN - sent invoice but no contact so called to check if payment would be forthcoming - "I couldn't pay you - your site was down as my card wasn't accepted on Paypal" "I don't have a site - your payment is processed via paypal who pay me" "what does it matter to you - you'll sell it - doesn't cost you anything to list on the 'internet' " "yes it does - several pounds actually and its a binding contract on you" "you want me to pay for your calls as well do you ? Rubbish - anyway we bought it off another site (ie seller) on ebay so you're getting nothing ... **** off" bzzzzzzz....
Ah well - another NPB and strike (and another strike for my view of humanity)0 -
mrwibble ...r u still selling on ebay??? That would do my head in people like that! probably put me off selling!
The only cheekiness I have had is someone paying in stamps

Oh, I just remembered that I once had a lady ask whether she could have something on approval, she assured me that she would either return the item or send the money as soon as she had decided whether she wanted it or not.
Obviously I said no and she had the cheek to write back and tell me that I wouldn't get anywhere as a seller if I expected people to pay in advance for goods they hadn't seen, and, all the other sellers on ebay let her do it.
Cheek

I sold a mobile phone on Ebay for £80 + £5 postage.
The guy (i say guy, but the way he talked, he couldnt have been more than 17 years old) added me to MSN and started asking me loads of questions about the auction, all of which had been answered in the description. He then asked how many facias the phone came with, and what colour they were. I told him that it only came with one, and that was blue. He then accused me of lying, saying that in the auction, it said there would be 2 covers. I told him to look again, which he did. Then then said "Well, i will giv u £75 as it dnt com wit 2 cuvrs (covers)". I then had a go at him saying that I would not drop the price, as its a legally binding contract etc etc.
He took AGES to send the cheque (which wasnt actually from him, it was probably from his mum). I banked it, and waited for it to clear. Every day, he would talk to me on MSN (i did eventually block him) asking me if i had sent the phone. And every time, I told him the phone wouldnt be sent until the cheque had cleared. On the last day of clearing, i got a letter from my bank saying it had bounced! I contacted him saying that it had bounced, and he started having a go at me as his mum got a charge from her bank because of the bounced cheque????!!!!?????
I just cut him off and reported him! But seriously, what an idiot!0
