  • I spent yesterday mulling over the connection between scousers & an art exam, I believe Liverpool was the City of Culture one year, maybe that why I was asked to print 50 copies of an document entitled Art Exam Rescousers!

Just had to share that with half the office and DH by email :rotfl:

DH took me down town to get the heavy stuff from Asda that I can't carry on the scooter, such as soap powder and fizzy drinks and mixers for Christmas. Like JackieO I am nearly there now, just got to pick something up for FIL and I am done apart from all of the fresh stuff.

Hester that did make me chuckle :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Dinner tonight is bacon pasta , nice quick and easy and one of DH's faves.

(((((Hugs))))) for all the poorlies especially Hilly, I hope that you are in a better frame of mind today x x x

    Judi,

No, my son's gf never complains about him, mind you they have been together 11 years since they were 16 so I suppose she can't complain that he is unwilling to commit. If I do say so myself he is pretty well house trained as well.

Jut did a quiz to see which literary character I am - Hermione from Harry Potter apparently. DD was Holly Golightly (very accurate, apart from the whole being a call girl thing) and DH is Aragorn!!! If only, I wouldn't kick Viggo Mortensen out of bed.
  • Evening all, Ha! I sound like Dixon of Dock Green!! How many of you are old enough to remember that? :D

So today I cleaned right through the house, popped to Mr T for a few bits including a parsnip to put into the Beef Stew with dumplings we had for dinner.

Tomorrow I am going to make a cake for DH as it's his 50th birthday on Thursday. I want to try and keep it a secret from him, but as he works for himself he sometimes pops home for various reasons. Oh well just have to keep my fingers crossed tomorrow he doesn't. I did think about making it this evening as he is watching football but he will 'smell' somethings up when he comes in! I've asked a friend to get his birthday announced over the tannoy, that'll embarrass him!

Have a good evening all :)

    Evening All, (I remember busiscoming2!)

    Gosh I have had a really l o n g afternoon!

OH had a polyp removed from her small bowel 3 years ago and she was called for a follow up colonoscopy today. This involved a preparation of drinking 2 litres of a "mixture" over previous 24 hours plus water (as well as fasting).
Last time she was anaethitised (sp); this time it was a relaxant/painkiller concoction intraveniously. My OH's veins are very shy so her arms are covered in bruises from failed attempts! :rotfl:
It was all going swimmingly (all clear) until part of her bowel went into spasm and the camera would go no further and the procedure had to be abandoned. Someone else in recovery room had exactly the same outcome. So bottom line is she has to go back for a CT Scan of the bowel after having the same "special mixture." OH is not impressed.

OH had coffee and toast at hospital, first meal in about 30 hours! So when we were coming home I got us chicken breasts out of KFC, which helped kill the hunger. Bit like "windy city" here at the minute - but at least she is getting rid of it! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh dear NAR your poor wife. I must admit Mother has had several colonoscopies over the last 15 years before finally having part of her small bowel removed about 10 years ago.

That powder stuff was vile she told me. I went with her and sat in recovery each time she went down to have it done. She was anaesthetised and took quite a while before she was steady on her feet. I hope your wife is feeling ok.

Well hubby is stuck at work, he's just rung me and he'll be heading home in about an hour. It will take him another hour or so to get home. Not being funny and i'm seriously not complaining (you've heard me say how much I love being on my own) but he really ought to take a sleeping bag and sleep there. For a start, at least I wont have to worry if he's had an accident on the way to and from work.

Oh well, Holby City will be on in a few minutes. I need to get my fix and then later 4oD Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners I think is on.

    Have a good evening all,

Hubby is expecting to catch us, did you not tell him it is another 3 weeks before I travel your direction? :D
