Unsolicited callsfrom TRAVELINE costing me on my mobile phone account
Options
Hi, can anyone help please? I have just checked my phone account as Vodaphone have billed me £10.72 for calls I have supposedly made on 24/10/13. When I checked the number on Google, its a company called Traveline who I have never called. Firstly, I'm disabled and totally dependent on family to get out the house, and Vodaphone wont accept I have not called this company for bus and travel arrangements. The calls are one after the other, up to 10 minutes duration! I have just checked my Vodaphone account for the new month, and on 21/11,there are in excess of 20 calls, one after the other, that I again have been billed for. I have downloaded a blocking app onto my phone, but what canI do about this...its daylight robbery, and Vodaphone don't seem to care as they are getting revenue from this.
Thanks in anticipation of the good advice I know will follow this...

Are these phone calls to the 0871 number ( 0871 200 22 33 ) which are expensive from a mobile.

Hello, that's the one. I have not made any of these calls. Other forums have people saying they are 'real time' calls that cost you, not the company...I have not made these calls, but may have answered one...not up to 20, 1 minute after each other. I am absolutely bemused.

You've got a very simple way of checking. Just look in your phone's call log. If the calls are there then someone has made them from your handset.0 -
Hi I have answered you on the other thread. They are listed on other forums as being a reverse call company. The cost is yours and listed in your log.....others are claiming the same as me...no knowledge of the calls.

They are not a reverse call company and the number is legitimate but costs an arm an a leg to call from most mobiles.

Hi Harry and thanks...but we have never called and are not registered for texts/other services.. I have spoken with a senior manager today who to their credit, have called me twice today then this evening when I got home as they want to sort this also...its perplexing.. their call staff checked their system and confirm my mobile number is not registered with them and told me all about their legitimacy, which I accept...can it be a case of hacking and money being creamed off? I don't know, I just know that the phone is racking up costs and Vodaphone want to charge me £25 to change my SIM.
Thanks for the reply.0 -
Let me get this straight your Vodafone bills show that you have been making a series of short outgoing calls too 0871 200 22 33 on two seperate occassions, and you have no knowledge of this . Is that correct ? What sort of phone are you using, have you checked the call logs to see what they say?
I am checking to see if they are outgoing calls because in the title you say calls from.0 -
Have you checked your call log? If they are there and showing as outbound calls then someone has made the calls from your handset and you are responsible.0
