The car park permit is in my name and my insurance i am the named driver. But the keeper of the car is my Dad as i couldn't get the finance.

Does my Dad being the keeper change anything?

he will get the NTK , not you, as he is the keeper
  • It explains the terms used here on one of the sticky threads.

The reason why your friends appeals have failed is because mitigating circumstances and not grounds and you need to understand what gets a ticket stopped by reading all the information that is here.

Put the permit on the dash in its normal place.
Walk to the side of the car and start rocking the roof, see where the permit is ?
They get around a £10 each scam, money is money.
    Be happy...;)
  • It means you Dad does not have to name the driver of the vehicle but if he doesn't then he has to appeal the ticket.

It's complicated but either way if you stick to your guns neither of you will have to pay.

Actually a parent ringing the Dean might be more effective!!

A group of parents I was involved with,....long story got a whole year's admission accommodation charges cut by £40 a week and £15 food vouchers. With the help of the freshers and the students union.

We bombarded the Dean with email complaints and it was in the press etc.

  • How come these type of invoices can't be ignored anymore?

    (1) Because some PPCs are suing people madly, and
    (2) because we know how to appeal and win at POPLA stage. :)

So it's obvious which choice to take, and why you'd be daft to ignore (or pay!) since the law was tweaked in the POFA 2012 Schedule 4. This law is linked on my sticky thread and so is a link about how to win at POPLA. It is IMPERATIVE you don't send any old weak appeal to POPLA. We know how to beat CPP with certain wording - do you like law or written subjects? The wording of a POPLA appeal is quite fun and easy to copy but you have to appeal to CPP first (best in fact if it's worded from your Dad as keeper, not mentioning the driver).

But all that is explained in the 'newbies, read this now!' sticky thread I wrote. You could always Google POPLA as well! But don't be put off by the 4 POPLA 'appeal headings' as they mean nothing and we will help you to win. We win 100% of POPLA appeals and have done for over seven months.

Just tell Dad to forward to you the Notice to Keeper when it arrives - in fact it should arrive between day 29 and day 56 so could be whilst you are at home at New Year. You can handle the appeals but are best to word it in Dad's name throughout, and ONLY when the NTK arrives in the post (we know what we are doing here).

Warn Dad to look out for it but as I say the earliest it could arrive would be new year. Make sure Dad trusts you to handle this - tell him you'll pay the silly thing if you lose at POPLA appeal (which you won't if you stick around into 2014 and learn). In case you still think this is serious or a real fine, it's not! People have fun sometimes with their first appeals although we will help you make sure it's a proper challenge in your case. I am astonished that intelligent students haven't sussed this scam of private parking tickets yet. I am a Mum of four, and two of my kids and my niece are at Uni and know all about this little game. SPREAD THE WORD! Of course the first stage appeal is rejected - but the forums here and on pepipoo know how to win at POPLA stage!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD
  • And sign the e-petition please I just found by chance a link to one on HM Gov site see my other thread and get the other students to sign it as well.

Because it's releasing people's personal details from the DVLC which has lead to the change and pursuing the Keeper.

If the Uni cancel the ticket then of course as explained you won't have to do any of the appealing and POPLA outlined by coupon-mad.

[strike]Jeez, if this is the type of student attending our universities nowadays it's no wonder the country is going to pot.

You've been told more than once, read the stickies at the top of the thread. Don't skim them READ them.[/STRIKE]

They can! If you and your dada ignore this it will disappear in three weeks exactly.
