Phone contracts for boyfriend and girlfriend
Options
Hi. I've used this site for a while but never actually joined. I finally have a question which I can't really find an answer to.
My girlfriend and I have been with t-mobile for a few years. We both had contracts with 300 mins and texts and a free add on. The unlimited calls to other t-mobile customers was perfect for us as the majority of our calls were to each other.
We were happy with t-mobile, but for what we are willing to spend we can only get 100 mins, unlimited txts (we don't text much) and 1GB data. The problem is, 100 mins isn't really enough for us, especially since t-mobile don't offer unlimited calls to other t-mobile customers anymore.
We both need at least 200 mins a month to anyone + around 500 mins to each other. We don't really text much, 200 would do.
My girlfriend isn't interested in a fancy phone, a basic touchscreen would do and she doesn't need much data. She's hoping to find a suitable contract for under £10 per month.
I quite like a decent phone. It doesn't have to be something to drool over, but decent. We don't get a 4G signal where we are, but I'd like something future-proof in case I want to upgrade. I think I'd need at least 1GB of data. I'd be willing to spend up to £20 per month.
I've been searching around for a while, but its difficult to know the benefits to each company. I was quite surprised by tescomobile. Their anytime upgrade contracts seem decent, and if we join together the family perks are perfect, but their selection of phones is somewhat limited and their data allowance isn't really enough for me.
If you know, can you tell me what other companies would be suitable for us?
Thanks

Very decent phones can be bought for around £100 sim-free (or on PAYG, then unlocked for a fiver). Search the board for 'motorola', 'huawei', 'zte'.
For sim-only deals see the sticky at the top. Giffgaff springs to mind with
500+Unltd+1Gb for £10. And calls to giffgaff are free.
Ovivo are currently offerering 250+500+1.5Gb for £7.50.
150+300+1G are available for free, but I think 1Gb is a temporary offer and will be switched back to 500Mb.0 -
Tesco you can get £7.50 a month, with extra 500 min Tesco to Tesco its o2Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

It's 500Mb, not 1Gb, for £7.500

The price is right, but really I meant £20 a month including a decent phone.0
