Surprisingly, I did manage to get one when the offer first started a couple of weeks ago. However, I went back in yesterday to get another and, guess what, none in sight! The dedicated area in the fridge was full of gammon joints!!! If they have sold out they should stop
advertising! But that's Asda for you!

They haven't sold out, although as soon as its in our Telford store it flies out, I have bought six joints in the last couple of days for relatives in Birmingham who cant get in at their local store;.

I'm hoping Asda do something similar with turkey crowns.
Though £8 per kg is around the cheapest for fresh so far.

I was hoping too, but no sign that its going to happen. Bought a 3.5 killo whole turkey from Iceland, £9 and cut it up myself. Have a nice crown to take to DD for xmas day, two thighs, 2 drumsticks, 2 wings and the back to make pies and soup, worked out £2.75 kilo . Saved quite a bit as last year spent £10 on a small crown and no left overs.

I bought a frozen crown from the Co-op last year (I think, or perhaps the year before!!) and that was £10, but there was a £2 off £10 voucher - so £8. It was perfect and yes, no waste. I'll check for offers later. Morries had loads of crowns with a sell by date of 22/12, so you never know. ;)

These are now back up to £7.50 per kilo. :(
If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5? :)

At least I got a topside joint and we had a ~500g piece of it on Christmas Day. I wish I'd "bitten the bullet" and got the really big £10+ joint I saw. But, you need to have money to save money. And then, once again, the credit card bill and Christmas Day clashed. :(
