Need help please? Wireless unlocked travel router needed.

I've been asked to get a 'portable wireless 3G/4G router' for someone who travels a lot for work (both in and out of the UK). Must be unlocked or sim free.

This is an area I know nothing about.

Can anyone suggest a specific model to look at please?

I've searched but there doesn't seem to be much that states 'unlocked' or 'sim free'.

I'd really appreciate some guidance.

Edit: I think this is to be used with an iphone and/or an ipad I think. (In case it makes any difference.)

More expensive and less capable.

It's just the older model that someone has unlocked for a pound or less and are now selling it at a premium.
The blurb wrongly suggests that it supports up to eight devices. The E5331 supports five. The E5332 supports eight.
