I tend to buy a lot on Steam or GOG, otherwise I usually lose the DVD or the DVD key, at least with Steam and GOG that's not a problem.

....Unless they go out of business, then all the people who have a library of game collections with them will lose them..
  • Mostly from amazon, apart from when I want to exchange some games, when I will go into town and use either CEX or Grainger games.

If i am not exchanging any old games I look on the net wherever is cheapest, which for the last few games just happens to have been amazon.

Hi have PS3 and can not recommend paying £40 a year to be a playstation plus member, there has been some great games for free during this last year (uncharted 3, hitman res and many more), great for the trophy hunter too!!!

But if I do buy, asda or eBay are where I've got most of my bargains.
  • Amazon for new games
Game or CEX for second hand
And of course steam for pc games especially during sales
  • Always Amazon for new and then GAME and CEX for used :)
  • When I had my PS3 I used to wait until the big budget releases had reached around £9.99 then pick them up for that price. I usually complete the game and then sell it on second hand on Amazon for the same ammount or even a slight profit. Madness really!

It's different with the 3DS and Wii U now though. Quality 3DS titles seem to stay around the £30 mark and the same for first party Wii U games. So I'm scouring HUKD for anything...Just picked up the Windwaker for £25 from Grainger games though! YAY!

I tend to buy games used and after they have been out a while, so CEX, Game or the local Cash Convertors/Cash Generator type shops depending who's cheapest / any deals on offer ie 3 for 2. I've often bought two copies of a game in Game on a deal then gone to CEX and trade two of the games I just got in for the same money I apid hence I end up with a game free. Occasionally Amazon or Ebay but often postage means it's cheaper to buy in town.

New games are usually a present so whoevers got the best offer. Latest Layton came from Gameseek, but Shopto and the supermarkets usually, very rarely a "real" game store like Game for anything new as they keep games at RRP or sell things as a "package" and bump up costs with the tut you just don't want.

Must use up my CEX credit too while I remember as often with games you get the "no cash in the till" comments.
