Can't get HD channels

Can't seem to get HD channels, despite being in "good service" area for all channels. I've tried re-tuning but no luck.

Anybody else come across this?

Assuming you are talking about Freeview then yes my aunt had the same problem using her old Loft aerial. It seemed strong enough for most of the SD channels but wouldn't pick up the HD channels.

She had to get a new aerial.

Thanks. It could well be that then - have a loft aerial here. Do you know what she had before and what she changed it to please?

I don't think the problem was the fact that it was in the loft - it was more that it just did not have a suitable bandwidth.

I have no idea what the original aerial was or what it was changed to although it was put up outside. It was an aerial company that installed it.

That's not relevant unless you live close by. Choice of aerial depends on location. You can check from your postcode.

Have you got a Television with an HD Freeview tuner, or are you using a set top box, if so what?

Yes, postcode checker shows Good reception on 80 freeview channels and 6 HD. It's not a repeater.
