Theyre probably trying to trace the finger back to the particular factory and find the operator who may have lost the finger so they can advise him that he may have lost a finger and suggest he goes to the hospital. The hospital has specialists in counting fingers who will be able to confirm whether or not he's lost a finger.

because all the info was past on to asda over 5 months ago and they was meant to be contacting us and still nothing and its everythink to do with asda as its there problem
