  • Hi,

if you were having a few friends round for drinks, you could've used it in a finger buffet. ;)

Looks nothing like a human finger , perhaps it's a trolls finger?
  • A human finger in dogfood is nothing.

I was getting tucked into a big bowl of raspberry ripple ice cream yesterday when I found what looked very much like a body part in it.
I was going to complain to the manufacturers until someone told me that there have been plenty of warnings about this in the past.

yes we have been in touch with asda they have asked use to take it in so they can send it off for testing and I went in with it last night and I did not have the package that it come in so iv got to go back with that but don't want to give it them yet till trading standards say what to do with it as if it is a finger them asda may just put a blind eye on it and never contact us again.

Bring a finger back and "asda may just put a blind eye on it"

On the telephone it has the number 9.
If you think you have found a human finger in dog food, your press the number 9 three times and tell someone on that special number.

Please don't tell people to use 999 for non-emergencies. Enough of their time is wasted already and some people will not realise the humour intended in your reply.

Even dog food has to meet certain standards.

take it to Trading Standards as they will get it tested quicker than Asda do ( if they bother too) and in the meantime TS can request Asda remove that dog food from sale while its been tested.
  • OP - you need to pull your finger out and act quickly on this....

Asda will have the traceability info. So if a person at a factory has reported a finger missing, its easier for them to find the person.

Also while Asda may wait a while before letting people know publically the results. Internally they will be quite swift as its the ASDA technical team will put pressure on the supplier and will not want the bad press.
