Well I survived the gales - only one in the road without any damage so very lucky. It did cause travel disruption though and I had to return home on Thursday because I couldn't get to work because of cancelled trains. I did however work from home instead so not a wasted day.:)
I made another payment to my loan today of £159.20. I have now paid £2,925.59 of my £12,600 target so creeping up nicely. Will be glad when I've paid the remaining £1,200 off my 0% credit card that runs out in April. After that my next deadline is 1 November for my remaining 0% credit card so will just pay as much off as I can afford every month until clear.:D
If I continue as I am I think I will have cleared all credit and store cards this year leaving 2 mortgages and 3 loans outstanding.
In 2015 I will save up and try to pay the 2 loans which attract interest early, leaving a very small 0% loan which can finish when it was originally due.
2016 will therefore be tackle the mortgages year. My smallest mortgage is a fixed rate one until May 2017 and I can only pay limited overpayments so I intend to pay the maximum each month and save to pay the balance when the fix has finished.:)
OK thinking way too far ahead now - time to go to bed.;)Blitz that mortgage

Woke up at my usual work time even thought I'm off today, so I've had a coffee, put some washing on and I'm going to get showered and go out food shopping. I've also run out of petrol so will need to fill up today.
Weather is grim, so I've decided to be really industrious and clean the house. I've also decided to join the local council gym because I am not getting any exercise at the moment because of the horrible weather and it being dark when I leave for work and dark when I come home. I need exercise to keep up with my demanding work and I enjoy it.:)
OK - shower and out!
Have a great weekend everyone.:)Blitz that mortgage

Dropping by before I cook tea.
It's great being off work for a week - I've done loads of jobs round the house and took the kids out yesterday and had a good time.:)
I haven't paid anything else off this week as no payments are due but I have put in motion a money transfer to my bank account at 0% until March 2015 after doing a lot of calculations. The amount will clear my whole car loan and save me £600+ in interest, so today I have reduced my debt after transfer fees by £463.:D
The transfer is supposed to clear tomorrow so I will ring the car finance company and pay over the phone. 5 debts remaining after tomorrow and only 1 with interest being paid.:)
I've stuck religiously to my spending challenge and it is pay day on 28 Feb so will be ready to make some more large payments.Blitz that mortgage

Well I've cleared my car loan this morning as planned and am officially in £463 less debt.:D I will however have to continue paying a credit card until Mar 15 as a result, but it is at 0% and I won't have the regular car loan payments to make so will make them instead to the credit card.
Small payment of £59.32 to another loan today and I have one more credit card payment due before the end of the month - just waiting for the bill to come in and then I should break the £3,000 barrier of payments made since 1 Jan 14. :j
I am on target to pay the final £1,200 of my credit card that runs out on 3 April - clearing half of it on 28 Feb and then the remainder mid March.:)

Well - one more update before the end of the month.
Weather was good here today - I managed to dry a washer load outside - just airing on the radiators before putting away.
Credit card bill came in today so I paid £288.70 bringing me to the grand total of £3,273.61 paid since 1 Jan. (Over 60% of my income used to pay debts):j
I have £11 for the remainder of the month in case I need any food items. Have done my food shopping for the week today - cost £35.28 including some treats for the kids and all my bread, milk, rice, pasta, tinned items, chicken, fish etc.
We'll be back at work, school and college on Monday so have also bought all packed lunch items. I've decided I'm going to concentrate on making quick and nutritious meals when I get in from work next week, such as risottos, stir fries, fajitas, meatballs, pasta dishes, etc to save time. I'll save the more complex meals for the weekend as sometimes I spend too much time in the kitchen in the evenings. I don't want to go back to eating convenience foods, but I'm more likely to if I get too tired:D
Wishing everyone all the best in your debt busting.:)Blitz that mortgage

Hello
I'm going well. I've paid the 0% card off before it runs out:j. I'm also still spending nothing on frivolous items only essentials and making all meals from scratch. I have managed to get my food bill down to around £50 per week and have been using my car less so petrol is lasting a little longer each month.:D
I'm going to start planting seeds at the weekend ready to plant out in the garden in April/May so should be able to reduce my shopping bill further by June/ July onwards.:)
I've paid £4,700 out of my target £12,600 for this year and I hope to be able to increase my target to £13,000 as a result of paying my car loan with a 0% money transfer and gaining £400+ by not having to pay interest. Hopefully I can keep going in the right direction.

Hello i am bad at keeping up with posting and just spotted your response so apologies. Yes I absolutely agree. I have been overspending for ages without gaining anything from it. I have set myself a 10 year plan to have no debt. I don't know if I'll get there but I sure as hell will try. Will be back on line later to put my April payments on. On lunch break at moment so no spreadsheet in front of me.Blitz that mortgage

OK - just before bed time so quick update.
I've managed to reach paying 47% of my target debt amount, :jreally hoping to make it 50% by 30 April, but that is going to really squeeze my finances - I'll see what I can do. Currently I have managed to pay £5,925.83 of my target £12,600.:D
