I have used one of these before for giving vouchers and it was really good fun.

I'm giving cash to my niece and nephew, but to make it more interesting, I've made hampers. They are identical, and each has the cash in the bottom. I've added a money box from the pound shop, and some chocolate coins in various sizes. Aldi had silver coins, which makes a nice change (no pun intended
) from the gold ones. Home Bargains had packs of tissues with banknotes pictured on them a couple of weeks ago, so there is a pack of those in the hamper too. I was going to add a Dime bar, but nowadays they are called Daim, which isn't quite the same effect.
I'm going to wrap in cellophane and add curling ribbon, but I'm still looking out for any inexpensive novelty items that I could add. Even if I don't find anything else, it makes giving cash a bit more interesting.0 -
If you go onto Pinterest and type in cash gifts there are loads of ideas on there. There are a few where they freeze the money in ice cube trays0

Thanks everyone, there are some great ideas here0

I would suggest giving £50 in five pound notes / pound coins using some of the great suggestions above then making sure the last one he opens contains a £50 note. It will be more of a surprise for him as after the others containing £5 he wont expect that, also I bet not many 13 year olds will have seen a £50 note let alone owned one. You could even frame it.0

Thats a great idea, iammumtoone. It's been a while since i've seen a £50 note myself, and i dont think my 13 yr old will have ever seen one!0

Thanks for this. Can you actually get in without solving the puzzle if they get fed up?!0 -
origami money! I have given money at christmas folded into a christmas tree shape, and I gave money at a wedding folded into a heart. both recipients were fascinated and very appreciative (even though the shapes were fairly easy and I just had a couple of practice runs with some paper first!). if you google origami money there are some websites you can search through any shape...Car Boot Queen!!
Clothes Golden Rule: Never pay full price unless it is an utter bargain in the first place!
Sales, boots, charity shops, ebay- why would anyone ever pay full price for anything??!0 -

No but it isn't a really hard puzzle, hard enough to make it a challenge and make money giving more interesting but not hard enough that you are trying to pay for your shopping with money still stuck in a plastic block :rotfl:Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j0
