Mobiles.co.uk want to turn my non cashback deal into a cashback deal, my rights?

  • Ask for mobiles to guarantee (in writing) o2's statement as you need confirmation that 1. It will happen and 2. downgrading your price won't downgrade your allowances.

From start to finish the thread discloses how shady mobiles.co.uk can be when dealing with customers who have been subject to their mistakes. Don't trust them - get it all in writing.

    Got this, but thanks!

As I said I am very perplexed as to how they managed to get my account details from my MSE post...... anyone got any ideas?

They will monitor mse in the hope that someone unhappy with them posts something which they can get removed by complaining to mse.

Presumably your case has rung a bell with someone in their (busy) complaints department, and they put 2 and 2 together.

In years gone by when Ben, who was their marketing guy and he was on here masquerading as a rep, they used Google alert to notify them of posts on the net.I assume thats still the case.

As Quentin points out you wouldn't need to be Sherlock to work out the person with the complaint you have emailed is the same person on here.

Considering that O2 refuse to lower the price now I don't see whats going to change in 12 months time, so without clear undertakings from them that could be used in court I wouldn't accept their offer as it stands.
