Giffgaff is not suitable for use outside the UK, particularly outside Europe. Why would use Giffgaff in preference to a local SIM card of the visited country?
Although Giffgaff charges £6.25 +VAT for a gigabyte in the UK, it charges a whopping £5,000 per gigabyte outside Europe, i.e. 800 times as much. Unlike other UK networks, Giffgaff doesn't offer any data roaming bundles, so the only way of paying a reasonable price for data is to get a local SIM card when you arrive. Then you'll pay the same as a local rather than £5,000/GB. Even within Europe, it's £375 +VAT per gigabyte, i.e. 60 times as much.0 -
sorry meant to say when calling abroad from the UK0

Are you using GG to make the calls or another supplier?
You could use 18185 http://www.18185.co.uk/mobilerates.php
via their 0808 freephone number. 5p connection but cheaper rates to some destinations. Routed via 18185 network so call quality may improve.
Or if you have inclusive 01/02/03 minutes with GG. You could call via https://www.callstunt.com 0161 number for no extra charge. If your Intl destination is covered by them. It covers a small but popular selection via it.0 -

The call quality abroad will be ultimately dependent on the network abroad that you are roaming on, not on 02.No free lunch, and no free laptop

It would be helpful if you could communicate clearly in full sentences, at least as a courtesy to your audience. I am not the only one who has understood that you meant roaming abroad. I've noticed that many of your other posts are similarly brief and ambiguous.sorry meant to say when calling abroad from the UK0
