Excellent news about your scan, Hilstep.:T
Mr LW and I stopped by the GP surgery this morning, with an envelope addressed to the Practise Manager; unfortunately the surgery shuts at 11:00 on a Saturday, and we were there a few minutes after that; no problem, I thought, just pop it through the door. Guess what?.... No letterbox! So we shall have to trundle up there again on Monday; it's not a big problem, Mr LW has Monday and Tuesday off to use up his Annual Leave, and we have to go out Monday morning in any case, but I was gobsmacked that there's not a letterbox. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Fantastic news Hilstep. So pleased for you. Good Luck with the chemo.
Sistercas - I live 5 miles from Luss, you would have passed my house on your way!
Country Living Fair was really good, lots of cheese samples (great for the LC diet) and bought a few christmas pressies. Also got samples of flavoured gins - very nice indeed! The only down side was that the parking is £7!
Off to the 40th in a bit. Take care. XX0 -
Afternoon all,
That's great new Hillstep
Another busy Saturday. My usual emergency dentist appointment:mad: they think I have trigeminal neuralgia rather than any problems with my teeth but I can't begin the medication until after my operation. Oh um:(
Dashed home and usual Saturday clean. Three lots of washing done and then out to visit Hubby's Aunty who is in a nursing home not far from us. We took her Christmas present as I probably won't get there before Christmas with my knee op.
A quick dash in Matalan for some pjs for my dad for Christmas and that's all my pressies done and dusted. Dh will wrap them next week while I'm in hospital.
We are off out to meet my sons future in laws tonight and for a meal. Its hard work getting dressed up as I can't wear heels at the mo but I can only do my best. They sound nice people and their daughter is lovely :A
Just a little sit down before getting ready as we are eating fairly early.
I shall record strictly. It was minus 2 this morning here:o sorry brains too tired to work out how to do the degrees symbol.
Have a great evening xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

2- Sistercas, I just wanted to have a go, our heating is set to 18.5°c I've no idea what the temp is outside and I don't feel like going outside to find out for you :rotfl:
3- I felt Bob kicking me for the first time today, I'm 18+5 today according to my app  didn't notice that go last so quick :rotfl:Whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re probably right ~ Henry Ford0 -
Hilstep, popped on the thread to say i'm so glad to hear your news.
Went to the reunion last night. It was good to see familiar faces and meet not so familiar faces. I went with my friend who I was at school with. As she doesn't live close anymore she stayed over at my house and we were up talking till the early hours of the morning which made me rather tired this morning when I got up.
Hubby went off to work leaving us girls to chat further. To be honest, she has had an awful life. Her first husband left her a widow in her early 20s with 2 children to bring up. Her second husband drunk away the rent money 5 years ago leaving them penniless and homeless then they were evicted. Two of her younger children got 'abused' I don't know who by or what happened I didn't like to ask. One child has ADHD and the youngest has mental health issues.
As you can imagine going over bits and pieces of her life was heartbreaking and emotionally hard to listen to let alone try and comfort her.
This evening i'm on babysitting duties overnight. Grandad isn't coping very well with the tears (from Grandbaby not me) so ive left him downstairs watching tv whilst we are having a Nanny and Grandbaby bonding session in the office. Looks like its going to be a long night. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Just popping in to share some good news for a change, DD has been given a place on a training course at work without her applying, obviously her new manager thinks she's ok! She will eventually have her degree, but for now has a promotion and a 4K a year pay rise, wel done that girl!RIP Iain
