Morning :hello:

Mr tru has turned into the world's worst snorer and keeps waking me up. I want to buy a sofa bed for the shed and make him live out there :D

We've sorted the pots on the patio, it looks so empty out there now  One of the first things master tru made for us when he started his carpentry apprenticeship (seven years ago!) was a wooden trough for the garden. We lined it with polythene and filled it with flowers every year, but it's starting to fall apart. He said he'd make us a new one but I want to keep it, it's special. It has one small lonely fuschia in it at the moment, I'll re-pot it and see if it can be repaired.

It's 0 c here atm (how do you do that degrees symbol?) so the washing can go on the radiators. I've been washing most of the clothes on the cold setting, it's all just as clean as when I do a 30 wash. I haven't told mr tru, if I do he'll suddenly decide that his clothes aren't as clean as normal :D

I'm doing battle with that wreath again today :D I'm beginning to wish I hadn't started it, but now that I have, I will win. Eventually.

  • Good Morning All

Feeling very cold here at the moment. Have quite a busy day planned, dropped DS & DNephew at football training soon. Home for some housework - ironing I think. Then off to take both boys to watch SUFC play this afternoon at 3pm. I will be wearing my thermals for that one I think.

Once home will be getting dressed up and out to my old work so I can drop my uniform off and catch up with a few people.

No dinner cooking today - have promised boys KFC after football.

Have a big Asda shop coming in a minute - why do they always come at the last minute?

Anyway thats if for me. Have a good saturday all.x

    Morning all,

Very cold here but with a good breeze so washing will be on the line today. Have been awake a lot in the night coughing my cold seems to have settled on my chest so I must get some medicine today. I also need to get the birthday cards / wrapping paper for this month, we have such a lot in Nov / Dec.

Stuffed chicken breast for dinner with wedges and sweetcorn, looking forward to that. We need to have a good clean through and hoover.

    Have good days all xx
  • Morning all

bright and sunny here at the mo, hoping it stays that way so I can get some washing out on the line.

Not an awful lot happening here today, I think a quick clean around, downstairs, then I've got to make some fairy cakes and flapjack ready for the lunch boxes next week

Dh is home again today so he is busying himself feeding the animals at the mo then he is going to bottle up a batch of elderflower wine, so whilst he is doing that I want to put together a winter box for the car, would sooner have it in the car just incase.

Tea for tonight is Chilli and rice... lunch will be LO lamb stew from yesterday.

Hope you all have a lovely day x

Morning all from chilly blowy corner of Kent. Just waiting for washing to finish and will pop on line.

Going to make a tree for the front garden out of some old boughs and out lights on so need to get some cement to plant it in, had dummy run with the lights.

Leftovers from family get together for dinner tonight, so a lazy and enjoyable day predicted here, might get Xmas decs out and plan things .... Can't wait,

Hugs to those that need the .

Ps, gypsy tart for breakfast here, a local Kentish 'delicacy'

  • Morning all,
Had good news yesterday The PET (Cancer) scan that I had on Friday is clear. The cancer hasn't spread:j
I now have to have chemo just as a precaution, but I think I will be able to cope with that.

DS and DDIL are going home today. The week has gone so fast! Took them out to dinner last night to celebrate.

    Hope everyone has a goodweekend.

Thank you for this. I always wondered how to do it.

I don't normally post on this tread, but always read it.

It is about 3° here today, but the sun is shining and the washing is on the line.

We have had a wine delivery today (Tesco are doing 25% off at the moment, so we have stocked up for Christmas). They will now go into our garage for safe keeping, although we may sample a bottle tonight.

Heating is on and our bungalow is nice and warm.

Nice to chat with you all. Iris
