NiftyDigits, thank you for your kind words. Knowing that you are happy for me brings me no [STRIKE]amount [/STRIKE], sorry, end of pleasure and satisfaction. :-)

On a side note, I know it's scary, but there are people who can help with your painful shyness and inability to express what's on your mind. There's no shame in asking for help.

Be strong, and just take each day as it comes - one small step at a time. x

You're telling us of the great bargain you obtained later will help me along.
Though I'm quite sure that it will be no bargain at all.
Then again, maybe you aren't paranoid and it really is a bargain.
    Waiting with baited breath.

You really are such a flirt! Stop it, I'm blushing.

The make and mode is relevant. For example, if it's a PCW own brand (Advent) I wouldn't touch it at any price, refurb bargain or not.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Since the thread seems to have come to a natural and stroppy-post-removed conclusion, may I point out pedantically that the phrase is bated breath, not baited breath! :A

Indeed, abated is the correct word. I should be ashamed. :D

The OP knows best. Hope she comes back with details of the 'bargain', once captured.
  • LOL! I don't know about "knowing best", all I know is it was a fair price and was the spec and brand I wanted. Maybe it is bargain of the century, but I highly doubt that. What it *is* though is ideal for me, and I'm now happily awaiting delivery.

If anyone wants to have a look at the deal, then here is a link:

I've had two Toshibas in the past, and have always been happy with them.

    Thanks again for everyone's comments.

Nothing wrong with Toshiba. Have three Toshiba laptops in the household. No it isn't the 'bargain of the century', but neither is it over-priced.
So no fear in posting. It will still be there tomorrow.
