Meal Plans W/B 25th November

Hi all

Couldn't see a thread started for next week so thought I would start it. My plan starts on Saturday

Saturday - Beef Noodle Soup - (beef already cooked)
Sunday - Meatballs and Pasta
Monday - Chicken and Pepperoni Pasta Bake
Tuesday - Cottage Pie
Wednesday - All out for dinner
Thursday - Spag bol
Friday - Fish Burgers, Chips and Beans

Breakfasts will be fruit, porridge, cereal bars

Lunches will be wraps, leftovers or Hm soup

Will bake some sort of cakes for lunch boxes just not sure what yet.

I am away with work Wed and Thurs nights so will cook the bolognaise sauce earlier in the week so it just need heating up and pasta adding to it for OH and DD. This stops them getting takeaway.

Looking forward to seeing everyones meal plans for the week

I've badly fallen out of the habit of meal-planning over the past few weeks, with the result that I've started wasting far too much food: in the past week alone I've thrown out an unopened bag of watercress (forgot it was there until it had turned to sludge), a whole squash / courgette (couldn't think what to do with it and left it so long it grew a fur coat), two big slices of chicken pie (meant to freeze them and never got round to it, until they had been there too long to be safe), and six pots of fruit yoghurt (far too far past their use-by date even for me). :o I have to get things under control again, and a meal-plan seems a good place to start!

Saturday - HM chorizo and pepper pizza
Sunday - leeks and ham in cheese sauce, with HM bread

Monday - tuna pesto pasta bake
Tuesday - TBC - it has to be something quick - maybe a cheese and something omelette?
Wednesday - chilli con carne with garlic bread
Thursday - Thai prawn noodle soup
Back after a very long break!

  • A few changes to the plan last week, including a sneaky macky-Ds on Tuesday, so hopefully back on track this week. Almost everything from the fridge, freezer and cupboard, just need to buy rolls and milk. I'm still 5:2-ing, OH has decided that while she really likes veggies, she misses chicken and fish too much to go entirely vegetarian at the moment, so we will slowly use up the HM veggie meals in the freezer, wouldn't hurt either of us to have a few more non-meat days. So -

Monday - 500Calorie day for me - Lunch Lentil soup, with oatcakes for OH, Tea - chicken, chickpea and cauliflower curry, with rice for OH, and cauliflower rice for me.

Tuesday - Lunch - Hot dog rolls with onions, Tea - Spinch and ricotta Tortelloni with tomato sauce and garlic
    bread

Wednesday - Out for Lunch, Tea - Hot dog rolls

Thursday - 500 Calorie day for me - Lunch - Corn Chowder with Oatcakes for OH, Tea - stir-fried sweet chilli prawns and veggies with noodles

Friday - Lunch - Tuna on Toast, Tea - Sausages. Mashed tatties neep and carrot and gravy for other half, actifry chips and redcabbage for me.

Saturday - Lunch - Pizza, Tea - Pork Satay, or maybe sweet and sour

Sunday - Lunch - French toast with cheese, Tea - HM Chicken Kievs

Breakfasts we have rice crispies, muesli, sugar puffs, porridge, rice cakes and ryvitas. 2 bagels in the freezer.

    Have a good week everyone
