Car impounded - advice needed

The main purpose of this forum is to offer practical advice rather than sympathy. In your case the only practical advice that we can offer is that there's nothing you can do about the seizure, and that the best way to prevent it happening again is not to drive without insurance. If you just want someone to give you a cuddle and agree that it's totally unfair, you're probably better going to your mum than coming here. And if you want to rant about how the police incited the riots in order to justify their salaries and staffing levels, there must be a forum for tin foil hat wearers somewhere where you might find some people who are actually interested.0

Broke the law, got punished. Systems works. Nothing to see here.0

Advice for getting caught driving with no insurance and no licence?
Go to court. Plead guilty. Pay fine. Don't drive during the period that you inevitably be banned for.
Go back to Dubai for the period and when you come back to the UK you'll be able to drive again.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
Seems everyone just wants to lie down and let governments and police trample all over them saying 'please sir yes sir shaft me as much as you want'
When it comes to police wrong doing they just change statements or deny or don't know or politicians favourite excuse 'I wasn't aware I was doing any wrong' they're all full of it and there's too many people who champion their actions or just sit back and do nothing. Your all brainwashed into thinking it's OK and it'll go away. It's the likes of people on here who think the poll tax was a fair tax and we all should pay it or go to prison and cheer the security van of non-payers to jail. No one had any advice for my situation of some keen for promotion motivated cop who takes insured cars off the road for 150 for some recovery firm that had hd tv's, leather seats and tinted windows in it's waiting room. I've already said I accept all charges for my wrong doing I'm not looking for an excuse or sympathy, I'm just not happy with the extra fine of the impounded insured car. The cop didn't really give me a valid enough reason for taking it saying it was procedure and then changed to you might get back in it and then after me offering the key to him he just said can't do that. That's why I came on here to see if anyone may have had a similar experience and got something done but most replies are all in favour of the blood suckers of the world, that can only lead to one conclusion and you'll find that out if you carry on supporting them.0 -

You're right mate, the police did get it wrong.
They should be doing your misses for using the vehicle without insurance too.

You are the criminal. Popo did nothing wrong. You and your doris could have got a cab for a tenner and none of this would have happened.
Wouldnt be the first person rightfully punished to complain about it though.0 -

Strange definition of "all".
Yes 'all' points and fine. As I said I'm not happy with insured car taken away. But your just a brainwashed sheep and no help at all. Bet you've stopped at a car crash scene and told the person who's fault it is that they should have braked earlier, that's about as good as your advice gets.0
