New Contract - Direct debit date

I have finally decided after a bit of research to sign up for a new contract with vodafone.

Soon as I finally have complete control over my finances I want to ensure that the date of the direct debit is at the start of the month so i know I will always have the money to pay the bill and will avoid receiving a big bill at the end of the month.

Does anyone know when the direct debit is likely to be taken from my bank? e.g if i sign up today, will it be taken from my account on the 20th each month? or will they take it out at the start of the month?

Any ideas?

Sorry but they generally pick a date at random. But once you have paid your first bill you can ring them up to move the date around. I always have to do this as they always manage to pick a date about a week before payday :mad:

Thanks mcmanlyn. I've just ordered it now, so i'll ring up after my first bill and rearrange the date if I need too!

I like to have all my direct debits at the start of the month, straight after pay day so I know whats what! :rolleyes:
