Default Arrow??

Hi again Rachel
OK, let's rule out the mistaken identity angle then. The next question concerns these multiple "defaults" you refer to as showing on your credit file for this account from Nov 2010 onwards.
You stated earlier on that the default date for this account is shown as 01/09/2008. Assuming that this is the default notice for the account, no subsequent late payment markers should be shown. The only further info that could be entered on the account post-default would be the obtaining of a CCJ (which has not happened so far as I can tell). So, these entries you refer to from Nov 2010 onwards do need to be challenged, but I would wait until you are confident that the account is statute barred before doing so.
Thanks so much Dan. So when the debt
Hope that makes sense!
Dennis
Thank you very much Dan. So I have a few questions:
*If I am confident it is stat barred, who do I send the letter to? Rosendales or Arrow(whom issued this default)
*How to I next go about challenging it and again, to which, Rosendales or Arrow?
*My account clearly states it would be stat barred on 2nd December this year. But if it wasn't what route would I take?
This all just seems so fishy to me if I am honest!
I REALLY appreciate the advice thank you.0 -
If sure it is SB, then the dispute goes to whoever has recorded it on your credit report. Presumably Arrow?Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

SB isn't a magic wand. There is no requirement to send a default notice for non-CCA accounts, and mobile accounts are not. So they have the flexibility of selecting a date that is 'reasonable'. SB only means they cannot raise a court action, and when you get close to this date, they may well choose to pursue you.
If you pay what you owe, this will remove this threat, but not the Credit File blight which would be accurate.0 -
A default 3 years after the fact is not accurate.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Hi guys,
This is extremely late in my response, but I have had a mad few months and have now come back down to earth ready to tackle these defaults!!
Can anyone please advise me of what I should be composing in my letter?
To summarise I have defaults from Arrow Global from what I can see Nov 2010-Jan 2014 on every single month!!!
Account started: 02/12/2007
Default date: 01/09/2008
It is at an old address and I have no correspondence from them and it just seems so totally ridiculous!!!!
Please help me with my letter writingxx

That is not a recent default.
Default date = 01/09/2008
The Ds each month are NOT new defaults. Just status updates on the old one, and that is how a defaulted account should show if not settled.
The default, account, all the Ds and history will drop off your report on 01/09/2014 whatever you do.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

So would you suggest leaving it then?
I have not heard anything from them since this, would they be able to re add another default after this one drops off?
Thank you Fermi0 -
No, they should not add a new default. If they did you can complain and get it removed.
Your call on what you depending on whether the debt is yours and the 2008 ish date is more or less right, and how much it is bothering you there. If your with the correct date, then you are only ever going to get it changed to settled if you pay it off, which is a minor thing now.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
