pricing at carphone warehouse

Options
Hi all I've just up graded my mobile via an email link from carphonewarehouse.
The link gave me a tarrif of unlimited mins and text plus 8GB of data for 37 pounds plus £25pound cash back with a phone cost of £29 (iphone5s)
Mega deal right! so i applied and all seemed ok. they then refused the upgrade. on quering this on the phone with the shop it was a mix up with the personal data which caused the rejection. The sale person then went on to say that the deal was a mistake and that it had been rectified online so i could not have it again.
I decided to upgrade again via the original link online again only to find that the same deal was still there so I have applied and got it again.
I also had to upgrade my wifes phone and found a similar mistake on a iphone5c and have applied for that as well, both have been accepted and are due for pickup at the week end.
Question
Can I hold carphonewarehouse to the contract I applied for?
on the paperwork/ screen the deal price is in large font but.... there is also a smaller font under the description which gives the price as £10 more.

not legally no. as you said you only "applied" for the contract.

yes, CPW have made a mistake, but as they haven't taken your money or given you the phone, they are under no obligation to sell you the deal at the wrongly advertised price.
  • so when i pick up the phones if i sign the agreement at the prices i applied for and they then find the mistake, i can hold them to it, but if they have seen the mistake and change the pricing before i sign i cant?
