OK, I'm forming an appeal, these pages are very useful.
My post though, is about their headed paper.
Their telephone number as given for contact purposes, 090 6302 0211 IS A PREMIUM RATE LINE CHARGING 51.062p per MIN !!!!!!!!
and they use a PO BOX and not a full address
Unbelievable , or perhaps not, for a bussiness that wants to be taken seriously?????

They don't want to be taken seriously, PPCs only care seriously about taking money!
Do use this thread to add any queries or to show us your draft appeal once you are at POPLA stage so we can help ensure it's a likely winner.
And make sure all appeals are written from the registered keeper. Be ready for VCS sending a template computerised rubbish reply pretending they have to know who was driving - reply and refuse and threaten to report them to the BPA if they don't send you your POPLA code, as is your right as keeper.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The use of PO Boxes by businesses is hardly confined to private parking companies or those who supply gentleman's weekend requisites in plain paper packages. My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
Hi I just wanted some advice as to how I should appeal to vehicle control services ltd. I received a pcn for overstaying for £60 at matalan where the limit is 2 hrs. I did not genuinely see the signs and have been shopping there on many occasions. I received the notice on the 15 November and the contravention date is on the 6th November. Please help.0

Thanks coupon mad.
I'm a touch more complicated, because its a lease vehicle via my company....so the lease company are the registered keeper, they have passed the business name on, not the drivers, but if VCS go to the lease company, it will likely be paid by the lease company unless I fess up as the driver........unless by the act of the lease company telling VCS that my business was driving, then they are now exempt?
Anyway, its a stopping in a no stopping zone appeal.
Point 1 - The images provided have times stamps 2 secs apart, neither support the type written 1 min time frame they claim was the stopping time
Point 2 - Ambiguous charge? Is it a penalty for breach of contract in which Genuine pre estimate of loss applies or is it a contractual charge, in which case it is punative. The PCN doesn't make it clear to which they are claiming
Point 3 - No contrcat with landowner
Point 4 - Inadequate signage (mis use of speed camera icon on sign when talking about CCTV and ANPR cameras), signage not fit to read and understand as a contract without stopping or slowing down (see page 26 of the POPLA annual report 2013 from the Lead Adjudicator about stopping in roadway appeals?)
Point 5 - Wording of the PCN claiming alleged breach. It is a catch all statement trying to claim all manner or breaches when it should apply to the single initial claim.....keeps mentioning car park and accepting car park T&C's when no car park has been entered, no barrier raised and no ticket taken or purchased
I don't want to , unless advised, toload up my actual words.....would you liek to comment?0 -
Oh yes, forgot to mention. I sent an original challenge letter, hard style stating no further correspondance, please just send a POPLA code or cancel the PCN......they sent back , not a rejection, but a request for the drivers details before further processing, or if not, they would send me a POPLA code if requested.
I sent them a letter back stating I couldn't understand why they didn't understand my first letter, so just send the POPLA code. I have not had a rejection from them from the original challenge, and I've gone straight for the POPLA code seeing as they said they'lls end one without me sending them the drivers anem and address.
Just waiting for the code to procede.0 -

Sent 1st letter 7th October, their reply request for driver details arrived 17th nov (I did have an earlier acknowledgement letter from them).... My reply for straight POPLA code was sent 20th nov.......
The only reason I said I didn't want to upload my proposed POPLA appeal was to avoid clutter on here and prevent me getting found out :-). But redaction of the refs and specifics is possible......if it's advised to be checked before sending......my trouble is I sometime labour a point and lose some direct impact.....0 -

Mine too!
Yep you're safe to show a draft POPLA appeal. Any PPC will see it soon enough and VCS are easy to beat (we win 100% of the time against all PPCs at the moment).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
