Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday dearest Hester,
Happy Birthday to you xxxxxx
Hope you have a lovely day xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Happy Birthday Hester
I hope that you are spoilt rotten, you deserve it. x x
Didn't manage to get on yesterday because the workmen were here all day, it was worth it, they lit the stove before they went and it was blissCan't use coal for a week because we have to temper the stove and coal burns too hot, so it is chopped up [STRIKE]pallets[/STRIKE] ahem logs until then
Really disappointed with the Aldi logs, they are too wet to burn and need to dry out
hence the pallets :rotfl:
Had to go to physio this morning and she said basically with me being on the waiting list I don't need to go back until after the op, she says that my muscles are very tense and I need to learn to relaxI had traction on my neck which was a little uncomfortable but needs must and she has given me some exercises to do, I have to ring her in 6 weeks to let her know how I am doing, she has also told me to see my doctor to get an x-ray because I am getting hip pain, but I think that is down to the increase in statins.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Popping back while I have a quick regroup. I've finished the cooking (apart from soup for dinner) and have packed the car but now I'm aching again so having some comp time.
Csarina, I'm glad you've started sewing again. I'm afraid I neglect the house a bit when I'm involved with a project. I'm handsewing the bindings on some placemats for the new house, it takes forever but I really don't like the look of machine sewing them on.0 -
Oh dear just managed to post on yesterday's thread by mistake.
Does anyone have any ideas why a little dog would suddenly begin growling and snarling at my cousins son. She has three boys 20, 17 and 13. Alfie has been with the family for about a year since their last dog died aged 17. They are real animal lovers and he has a lovely home. All three boys are lovely and especially the eldest who is a lovely quiet lad. He gets along famously with everyone else but in the last few weeks has taken a dislike to the eldest. Alfie is a jack Russell cross. The only thing I can think is the lad is very tall, but he has always been tall any ideas?? I promised I would askStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Evening all,
Cold here today and there is a very "frosty" looking sky this evening....nice healthyweather.
Slow roasted belly pork with with pumpkin and roast potatoes....looking forward to it, although pork is a bit big so will maybe do stirfry tomorrow.
Happy birthday Hester, hope that its the best ever!
Csarina..glad to see that you are sewing again, it would be a shame not to have your lovely work available to others. Missed why OH is on crutches, hope he recovers quickly.
Hugs to all in need or want of one

Evening all
Thank you for all the birthday wishes, very much appreciated.
I've only just got in as I went to DD's she & littlest DGD had made me a birthday cake, DGD 1 had made me a card & DGS had saved his drink money & just drank water all week so he could buy me some liquorish allsorts.
I made cakes & took them to work, one of the cakes was lemon drizzle, we had free lunch at work today, beef casserole & chocolate sponge for pud, the sponge was rock hard & there were many comments made by my colleagues about how I could make a nice soft sponge despite only being a home cook & yet the 'professionals' at work make sponge like concrete.
Have a good evening everyone.
Hugs HesterChin up, Titus out.0 -
