DD disapeared from list on account?

pfpf, a similar thing has happened to us.

I just phoned my bank up to see why it had disappeared and they said it was showing as completed their end. Sadly, that's most definitely not the case so I'll have to (begrudgingly!) give Woolwich a ring to reinstate it.

ETA: Called Woolwich and they said that they are currently switching to a paperless DD system, and that this months payment was the last on the old system which may have been what caused the confusion, however the direct debit is still active and money should come out as normal without me taking any action. He seemed quite certain of it, so I think it's a case of waiting until the 16th Dec and hoping that the money still comes out as normal.

Same has happened to me. Woolwich couldn't explain why!
I looked at the details of the November payment and it said "Last Direct Debt".

I wish.....I've still got 135 payments to go

DD back showing in my account. no historical payment info but a never ending expiry date

should we have been informed about this? surely people who are "on the ball" and keep a close eye on their finances will have spotted this? I for one had to visit a branch, others will have done the same and made a phone call - all wasted time.

A letter would have been nice, just to save me having to phone my bank and then Woolwich.
