Any contract is with the retailer.
Lenovo are prepared to do you a favour as long as you come up with the receipt. If you cannot do that you have no entitlement to a refund.0 -

As above OP, there are two main issues here. Firstly, you have no consumer rights as you were never the consumer, your uncle is. Secondly, nobody is going to do anything without proof of purchase, especially if that's a condition of the warranty.0
