90% off in my local blockbusters today, nothing much left now. My final tally from today and yesterday ....

    12 Blu rays
    6 Dvd's
First aid kit ( £38 at viking)
    5 litres detergent
1 all in one remote control
    PS Vita accessory pack
    50 all purpose cleaning cloths
    20 plasters
    1 european adaptor plug
    3 large pot noodles
    5 bags of liquorice allsorts
    Approx 500 envelopes
    1 litre weedkiller

    Just under £20 :D

I popped into my local. Not much really. There were gondola chrstmas trees with brackets or a quid, travel adaptors were £1.75 and a chocolate orange was....

    £3.25.
Stupid me thought it was for the tray of 12 as they were cling wrapped. Just 1:eek:
Please don't judge me. you couldn't handle half of what I've been through.

Does anyone know how sainsbobs 25% off wine works ?

They have 3 for £12 and 25% off, just wondering if it double discounts like tosco.

Question: what would you do in this situation?

It looks like I might get some work back at the old company I used to work for. I've not had any work for two and a half months now but I'm worried that they'll offer me something that's a lot more junior than what I've been doing recently. Would you take it? I've not had the offer yet so maybe I'm worrying for nothing and they'll suggest something great.

BUT I'm torn between- a jobs a job and worrying it'll negatively impact my career as I'll get a reputation for doing anything for money. I don't know anyone else in the industry who has had to make this compromise. All my other friends seem to go up and up and up and generally seem more valued.

Anyway like I said I don't know it's going to be a lot more junior but what would you do?

Would this be as an employee or a contractor? If an employee I would tend to take it. As a contractor you have more power to negotiate pay levels. Either way, you know they want you, so there should be some leeway on salary. Remember to consider the soft benefits as much as the hard. So if they are restricted on pay you could ask for flexible working/ more holiday/ occasional working from home/ longer notice period.

Think of yourself with long flowing hair, flick it over your shoulder as in the L'oreal advert and imagine yourself saying, because I'm worth it.

Sainsbobs usually only takes 25% off the offer price, so off the £12.

The only time I remember it working in our favour was when one of the 3 for £12 wines or offer similar was in their meal deal. ;)
