Regarding defrosting Freezers, before I had Frost Free, used the hot water in a bowl method and a hair dryer. Works really well ad can target where ice is thick and get it to fall off in chunks.

OBVIOUSLY HAVE TO BE CAREFUL WITH ELECTRICITY AND WATER BUT NO REASON FOR THEM TO COME IN CONTACT WITH EACH OTHER.

Always wondered about hairdryers and wet hair - expect someone will know

Thanks for all the replies I had resolved myself to having to pay but think a call to ebay to see if they will give me a returns label is worth a shot, I doubt it though because of the value and weight, it is a Naim streamer!! some sort of music thing he's into his gadgets not me, and its weight is 14kg so a bit heavy thanks for all your input everyone:T

  • Emailed Tosco this morning about being refused DTD, I had to stand there for ages while CS went off to check price of Pork. I suffer from Ataxia (leg tremors for me) & my legs started doing their 'thing' so another CS got me a chair, so embarrasing :o . Then CS told me I should have picked a joint with the correct Price!! Offered me a different joint but I just said refund me as I'd had enough by that stage. Not an experience I want to repeat :(

And here my rollercoaster starts again....

5.15pm viewing of mum's bungalow has cancelled but now have 2 more viewings for slightly later this evening. :)

I had my appointment at bank earlier and now for the first time in 25 years I have my own bank account again. ;)

Was very nervous when manager pressed the button on screen to do a credit search on me. I have not had any credit in my name for a few years now (Mr TS lets me lose with his CC :rotfl:) and of course no income as had been looking after my mum. But I was approved in seconds. :D

I went and had a celebratory lunch where I used to take mum in town. I was nearly the youngest there. But I remembered the good times when mum used to treat me and how she enjoyed their great big cream cakes. :A

Hermes will take up to 15kg, their insurance is reasonable and it's fully tracked. I know some people don't like them but I use them regularly and have never had any problems at all.
